Provide regular reports on platform health, incident trends, and support KPIs to senior management.\n• Production Deployment: Co-ordinate the planning and execution of application/infrastructure releases and configuration changes.\n• DevOps & Release Engineering: Spend a limited portion of your time on hands-on DevOps engineering alongside the Product Development and DevOps teams: defining and implementing automated system installation and configuration procedures across virtualized and private-cloud infrastructure, enhancing existing build and release pipelines, managing capacity and scalability, and evolving deployment architecture to follow emerging best practices.\nContinuous Improvement: Stay up to date with emerging technologies, tools, and best practices to continuously improve platform support processes and capabilities.\nSecurity: Oversee security and compliance adherence in application deployment and infrastructure management.\nRequired Skills & Qualifications\n10+ years of experience in platform support, system administration, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership or team lead role.\nExperience with SOC-2 compliance and secure deployment practices.\nDeep knowledge of Windows/Linux/Unix systems, and networking.\nHands-on production experience with containers and Kubernetes - container image build and lifecycle (Docker/OCI), Kubernetes workload and manifest troubleshooting, Helm or Kustomize packaging, and diagnosing pod, networking, storage, and resource-contention failures.\nPractical experience with GitOps delivery using Argo CD (or an equivalent such as Flux), including declarative application definitions, sync and health status triage, and configuration drift remediation.\nExperience with automation tools and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, SaltStack, Terraform).\nKnowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Argo CD).\nExperience with build automation, release and package management, and source control workflows (Azure DevOps/ALM, Git branching and merge strategies), with a working understanding of SDLC processes.\nAbility to define and implement automated installation and configuration of multi-tier application stacks across virtualized and private-cloud infrastructure, simplifying and streamlining application deployment.\nDemonstrated use of AI-assisted engineering tools - Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, OpenAI Codex, or equivalent - as part of normal daily work, with sound judgment about verifying output and where the tooling should and should not be trusted.\nStrong troubleshooting skills with experience in debugging complex platform issues.\nThorough understanding of the processes and procedures required to support a 24x7, “follow-the-sun” support model.\nFamiliarity with monitoring and observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, Azure Application Insights) and a working understanding of OpenTelemetry concepts - traces, spans, metrics, and instrumentation - for diagnosing distributed systems.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to convey technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.\nExcellent leadership, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities.\nWillingness to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, as part of a support role.\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.\nStrong background in database deployments and monitoring (MS SQL Server, schema migrations, backups, performance tuning).\nStrong background in .NET application support (.NET 6 and 8, ASP.NET).\nExperience troubleshooting NATS/JetStream messaging.\nStrong experience with IAC tools (Terraform).\nExperience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or a comparable managed Kubernetes platform, including service mesh or ingress controller operations.\nExperience instrumenting applications with OpenTelemetry SDKs or collectors.\nPrior experience in a dedicated DevOps, release engineering, or platform automation role.\nPMP Certification.\nExperience in the financial services industry.\nUnless explicitly requested or approached by SS&C Technologies, Inc. or any of its affiliated companies, the company will not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.\nSS&C Technologies offers a comprehensive total rewards package designed to support your wellbeing, growth, and future.
