Our client base includes existing clients that have grown organically, as well as new clients that we have recently acquired. This opportunity will also enable you to work with a global team to develop our private markets coverage and associated services in EMEA.\nDue to the nature of our clients, having prior experience working for a private markets fund manager would be a strong advantage in the position. The successful candidate will be expected to have strong written and verbal communications skills, a proven ability to multi-task, and outstanding organisational and problem-solving skills.\nHere are some of the key duties below:\nLead and manage a team of fund accountants, fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.\nProvide technical guidance and training to junior team members.\nManage client deliverables and coordinate with different internal departments in multiple jurisdictions to ensure deadlines are met.\nManage client onboarding and transitions from a fund accounting perspective.\nOversee the end-to-end fund accounting process, including daily/weekly/monthly NAV calculations, financial statement preparation, and regulatory reporting.\nReview and approve complex accounting entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.\nAct as the primary points of daily contact for clients, ensure to communicate promptly and professionally with clients and develop ongoing relationship.\nPrepare appropriate material and responses for client meetings and other requests.\nCoordinate, support and facilitate the external audit process and other third party reporting\nEnsure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and regulatory requirements.\nProvide input to client service plans, calendars and timelines.\nWhat You Will Bring:\nStrong working knowledge of accounting principles, general ledgers and financial statements, within Private Markets.\nExperienced people manager or supervisor who enjoys upskilling and coaching their direct reports.\nKnowledge of US GAAP/UK GAAP and IFRS.\nStrong client service focus, including the ability to effectively respond to client needs.\nMeet internal and external demands and deadlines by being results orientated and by demonstrating the ability to operate on initiative in a controlled environment.\nTeam player with the ability to lead - this will be very important as cross-team interaction is critical to the smooth running of the group.\nProficiency in fund accounting software (e.g., Geneva, Advent, Multifonds) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.\nA professional Accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA, CA or similar), nearly or fully qualified.\nUniversity degree (B.A., B.Sc., B.B.S.) in Accounting or Business (preferably majoring in Accountancy or another Financial-related program).\nWe encourage applications from people of all backgrounds to enable us to bring diverse perspectives to our thinking and conversation.
