Job Description

The RS Operational AI Analyst will partner with Retirement Solutions business teams to identify, evaluate, and implement AI-enabled solutions that streamline operations, reduce manual effort, improve quality, and mitigate operational risk. This role serves as a bridge between Operations, Business Process Management, and Technology, helping to deploy SS&C AI tools and automation capabilities across the organization.

The ideal candidate is passionate about process improvement, operational excellence, data analysis, and emerging AI technologies. They will work closely with business leaders to transform manual workflows into scalable, efficient, and controlled processes while ensuring compliance, transparency, and effective governance.

Key Responsibilities

AI Solution Identification & Deployment

  • Identify operational processes that can benefit from AI, automation, and intelligent workflow solutions.
  • Evaluate opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce manual touchpoints, eliminate rework, and strengthen controls.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to deploy and adopt SS&C AI technologies across Retirement Solutions operations.
  • Assist in the implementation and testing of AI-enabled solutions to ensure alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Support pilot programs and proof-of-concepts to validate business value prior to enterprise deployment.

Process Optimization & Automation

  • Analyze end-to-end operational workflows and recommend automation solutions that improve productivity and service quality.
  • Document current-state and future-state processes, identifying opportunities to reduce cycle times and operational risk.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Technology, and Business Optimization teams to implement automated workflows and intelligent process improvements.
  • Track efficiency gains, risk reduction, and quality improvements resulting from AI-enabled initiatives.
  • Support continuous improvement programs using Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence methodologies.

AI Tools & Business Applications

  • Utilize SS&C-approved AI platforms and tools to improve business processes, knowledge management, reporting, and decision support.
  • Develop and maintain AI-assisted workflows that support operational teams in delivering consistent, accurate outcomes.
  • Configure, test, and optimize AI-enabled solutions to improve data validation, exception management, document processing, and workflow execution.
  • Partner with technical teams to integrate AI capabilities into existing operational systems and business processes.

Data Analysis & Operational Insights

  • Analyze operational data to identify process bottlenecks, error trends, and improvement opportunities.
  • Create dashboards, reports, and metrics that measure automation effectiveness and business outcomes.
  • Support the development of KPIs that track productivity, quality, client impact, and risk reduction.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to business leaders regarding AI adoption opportunities.

Governance, Risk & Quality

  • Ensure AI implementations align with organizational governance, compliance, security, and risk management standards.
  • Participate in testing and validation efforts to evaluate solution accuracy, reliability, and business impact.
  • Help establish controls, monitoring procedures, and documentation to support responsible AI usage.
  • Identify and escalate operational, regulatory, or technology risks associated with automation initiatives.
  • Assist in developing best practices and standards for AI utilization within Retirement Solutions.

Change Management & Training

  • Support business readiness activities for AI and automation initiatives.
  • Create job aids, process documentation, and training materials to support operational adoption.
  • Conduct user training sessions and provide ongoing support to business teams.
  • Promote awareness of AI capabilities and champion innovation across operational departments.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Operations Management, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with process improvement, workflow analysis, or operational excellence initiatives.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technology-enabled solutions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft 365, Power Platform, AI-enabled productivity tools, and data visualization solutions.

Preferred

  • Experience within financial services, retirement services, or business process outsourcing environments.
  • Knowledge of automation technologies, AI applications, intelligent workflows, or robotic process automation (RPA).
  • Familiarity with operational risk management, quality assurance, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with process mapping and documentation tools.
  • Exposure to data analysis, reporting, dashboards, and business intelligence platforms.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or operational excellence experience preferred.

SS&C Technologies offers competitive compensation and meaningful learning and development opportunities for interns. Interns are eligible to participate in SS&C's medical plan and Health Savings Account (HSA) but not entitled to participate in any other SS&C benefit plans (e.g. dental, vision, PTO, tuition reimbursement, 401K, holiday pay, etc.).Actual base salary will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, prior experience, education, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.Massachusetts: The expected hourly wage for the position is between $30.00/hr. USD USD/hour to $30.00/hr. USD USD/hour.
