SS&C prides itself on hiring diverse, honest, dynamic individuals who value collaboration, accountability, and innovation.\nWhy You Will Love It Here!\nFlexibility: Hybrid Work Model\n\nYour Future: Professional Development Reimbursement including access to SS&C University\n\nWork/Life Balance: Competitive holiday scheme\n\nYour Wellbeing: Competitive benefits designed to support the wellbeing of our staff\n\nDiversity & Inclusion: Committed to Welcoming, Celebrating and Thriving on Diversity\n\nTraining: Hands-On, Team-Customised throughout your career\n\nWhat You Will Get To Do:\nAdminister and support large IBM i (iSeries/IBMi) environments to ensure system stability, performance, and security.\n\nPerform operating system upgrades, patching activities, and manage Program Temporary Fixes (PTFs) and cumulative PTF packages.\n\nMonitor system performance including CPU, memory, storage, and disk utilization, proactively identifying and resolving issues.\n\nManage backup and recovery operations using BRMS or equivalent tools, including disaster recovery planning and testing.\n\nConfigure and maintain LPAR environments, TCP/IP networking, and connected system devices.\n\nCreate and maintain user profiles, security settings, and access controls in accordance with security policies and compliance requirements.\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve IBM i hardware, software, and infrastructure-related issues while coordinating with vendors and support teams as required.\n\nWhat You Will Bring:\n2+ years of IBM i (iSeries/IBMi) system administration experience.\n\nExperience with IBM i OS upgrades, PTF management, security administration, and performance tuning.\n\nStrong understanding of IBM Power Systems architecture and core IBM i technologies.\n\nExperience using BRMS or equivalent backup and recovery solutions.\n\nFamiliarity with disaster recovery planning, execution, and testing.\n\nExperience managing LPAR environments and TCP/IP configurations.\n\nKnowledge of IBM i security concepts including user authorities, object security, auditing, and system monitoring tools.\n\nExposure to IBM i scripting or automation technologies such as CL, SQL, or RPG would be advantageous.\n\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.\n\nWe encourage applications from people of all backgrounds to enable us to bring diverse perspectives to our thinking and conversation.
