Join our Asset Analysis Team as an Asset Analyst and play a pivotal role in maximising the performance and reliability of our electricity network. You’ll lead on delivering actionable insights, shaping investment decisions, and supporting the transition to a low-carbon future.\nYou Will\nDeliver Network Asset Risk Metric (NARM) regulatory reporting, analysis and asset performance insights to support evidence-based asset management decisions and investment planning.\nDevelop forecasts, scenario analysis and analytical models to identify asset risks, opportunities and emerging trends across the network.\nSupport the development of long-term asset strategies and intervention plans that balance risk, cost, performance and customer outcomes.\nProduce and continuously improve dashboards, reporting processes and data visualisation solutions to meet business, policy and regulatory requirements.\nBuild strong stakeholder relationships, communicating complex technical findings clearly to support decision-making across the business.\nYou Have\nA degree (Bachelors/Masters/PhD) in a STEM subject and significant experience in asset management, infrastructure or a regulated utility environment.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using Python, SQL and data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.\nKnowledge of CNAIM and NARM methodologies, and how they support asset risk management, regulatory performance and investment decisions.\nExperience of enterprise asset and operational systems such as SAP, Maximo, ArcGIS or equivalent platforms, with the ability to turn complex data into actionable insight.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, coupled with a collaborative, proactive mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.\nAbout SSE\nSSE’s purpose is to be restless every day until we make electricity clean, affordable and available for all.\nWe do this by developing, building, operating and investing in electricity infrastructure and businesses needed in the energy transition.
