The role will support technical design activities across the context of both IT and OT.\nYou will\nProduce high- and low-level architecture design artefacts for BAU and project change activities across multiple business areas.\nDefine and maintain GTS technology roadmaps aligned to ABC model across IT and OT, supporting overall wider IT strategy.\nCreate and maintain architecture patterns, reference architectures, and reusable infrastructure service designs.\nTranslate functional and non-functional business requirements into effective, secure, and scalable architecture solutions.\nCollaborate with architecture teams, third-party providers, and stakeholders. As a trusted advisor supporting delivery, mentoring, innovation, and continuous improvement.\nYou Have\nPrevious experience of operating in either a design or infrastructure implementation role.\nGood understanding of Cloud and Infrastructure technologies across both IT and OT environments.\nKnowledge of Microsoft Azure, AWS, or other cloud platforms, with experience of designing or implementing solutions for on-premise, off-premise, and hybrid deployments.\nAn understand of architecture frameworks and/or development methods such as TOGAF or Zachman\nGood stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with a pragmatic, business-focused approach to enabling requirements.\nAbout SSE\nSSE’s purpose is to be restless every day until we make electricity clean, affordable and available for all.\nWe do this by developing, building, operating and investing in electricity infrastructure and businesses needed in the energy transition.
