You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of these locations.\nSalary: £64,085 - £76,581 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.\nWorking Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available\nThe role\nThis is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering major electrical infrastructure projects, helping to shape designs from early feasibility through to construction. Working closely with framework partners and stakeholders, you'll ensure designs are practical, high-quality and deliver the best outcomes while effectively managing risk, cost and programme requirements.\nYou will\nBe responsible for the design assessment of projects including the evaluation in terms of value and risk.\nManage and develop the engineering design from feasibility studies through to detailed design with framework partners to ensure projects are maintaining quality control of design outputs in line with SSEN standards,\nEnsure all works are carried out safely (on site) through the application of SSE safety family and five golden rules.\nExcellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nYou have\nA degree in Electrical Design (preferred), or a Higher National Certificate (HNC) with substantial relevant experience.\nSolid engineering design expertise, with a strong understanding of design governance and CDM (Construction Design and Management) regulations.\nDemonstrated ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines and thrive in collaborative team environments.\nExcellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nExperience engaging successful with external and internal stakeholders including regulatory bodies\nThis role involves travel across various locations to support business needs. To enable you to fulfil these responsibilities, as a role requirement, the company will provide access to a vehicle for work-related travel.\nThe requirement will be reviewed on an ongoing basis, and if the company car policy criteria are met, there will be an opportunity to join the company car scheme.
