This is an onsite operational role, and you will be expected to work on site for your full working week.\nSalary: £30,684 - £36,666 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.\nWorking Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available\nFull valid driving license and willingness to travel between sites where this forms part of the role.\nThe role\nSupport the safe, compliant and efficient operation of assigned SSE sites by delivering planned and reactive maintenance, minor building fabric repairs, workplace services and site support in accordance with FM processes, safety requirements and agreed service standards. The role provides professional customer service, engages effectively with stakeholders and contractors, maintains accurate records through Microsoft 365 and the corporate CAFM system, and supports performance reporting and continuous improvement. Where operationally required, the role will travel between and support multiple sites.\nYou will\n- Deliver planned preventative and reactive maintenance activities safely, efficiently and in line with service priorities and compliance requirements.\n- Undertake a range of general building and facilities repairs, including building fabric, decorating and other multi-skilled maintenance tasks within competence.\n- Support safe and compliant operations by identifying risks, escalating issues, maintaining accurate records and following safe systems of work.\n- Build positive relationships with customers, stakeholders, contractors and suppliers, providing excellent service and clear communication at all times.\n- Use CAFM systems (including Planon where applicable) and Microsoft 365 tools to manage work orders, maintain records and support performance reporting.\n- Set up and take down conference and event spaces, including moving furniture and equipment and carrying out other physical tasks safely as a regular part of the role.\n- Collaborate with colleagues across multiple sites, contributing to service delivery, continuous improvement, projects, audits and emergency response activities.\nYou have\n- Practical capability in minor maintenance and building fabric tasks, supported by an appropriate trade background or equivalent relevant experience.\n- Working knowledge of health and safety requirements applicable to maintenance activities.\n- Competent use of CAFM/IWMS systems, with experience of Planon desirable, including work-order updates, completion of records and data accuracy.\n- Competent use of Microsoft 365, particularly Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel, for communication, collaboration, record keeping and routine reporting.\n- Ability to interpret work instructions, maintenance information and basic performance data, and to produce clear factual updates.\n- Ability to organise and prioritise work across changing operational demands and, where required, multiple sites.\n- Full valid driving license and willingness to travel between sites where this forms part of the role.\nAbout SSE\nSSE’s purpose is to be restless every day until we make electricity clean, affordable and available for all.\nWe do this by developing, building, operating and investing in electricity infrastructure and businesses needed in the energy transition.
