Working as part of our OT Support & Engineering teams (ADMS+ & DERMS), you will be responsible for helping deliver projects, enhancements and upgrades of our key OT systems. This contributes to Distribution successfully completing their plans for the ED2 & ED3 periods.\nYou will also work closely across the OT Support & Engineering teams to help proactively monitor, maintain and improve the reliability of our OT systems.\nYou Will\nHelp introduce new technologies, deliver detailed proof of concepts, research developing industry trends and recommend strategic improvements.\nWork closely with the Distribution Control Centres to help them develop, enhance and simulate their control system.\nYou will be involved in the Cyber Security Distribution OT systems, by actively monitoring and reviewing the health and security of these systems. This will include participating in Cyber Response Activities (both actual and mock).\nAssisting the OTSE team in investigating and resolving faults. This may lead to being part of a 24-hour standby rota.\nYou Have\nRelevant experience of working with and supporting OT applications.\nTo be curious about understanding complex systems and how to monitor, enhance and improve them.\nIdeally you have experience in scripting, server management, and databases as well as GE PowerOn and AVEVA PI, although training will be provided.\nAbility to work both autonomously and as part of a small team is fundamental to this role.\nIdeally you have a full, current driving licence, although this is not essential it will be required if you become part of the out of hours support rota.\nAbout SSE\nSSE’s purpose is to be restless every day until we make electricity clean, affordable and available for all.\nWe do this by developing, building, operating and investing in electricity infrastructure and businesses needed in the energy transition.
