You will be in the unique position of facing off to procurement colleagues in the wider team, internal business customers and external suppliers.\nYou will\nUndertake procurement of goods, works, and services to support all Business Units, from initial demand through to contract award aiming for reduced contract costs. \nConduct sourcing events using the Jaggaer Sourcing to Contract System aligned with Category Sourcing Strategies and procurement policies. \nContribute to the drafting, reviewing, and negotiating of contracts. \nEnsure stakeholder engagement with a strong understanding of procurement systems and supply chain processes. \nMaintain accurate sourcing and contract records, ensuring procurement activity is fully documented and audit ready.\nYou will have\nExperience in delivering commercial value through a range of sourcing activities and supplier negotiations.\nThe ability to manage tender processes smoothly and efficiently.\nThe capability of clear communication and problem-solving, with strong organisational and prioritisation skills.\nExperience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts.\nA Professional accreditation i.e. CIPS (preferred), or working towards a accreditation.\nAbout SSE\nSSE’s purpose is to be restless every day until we make electricity clean, affordable and available for all.\nWe do this by developing, building, operating and investing in electricity infrastructure and businesses needed in the energy transition.
