The role will develop and implement key procurement and supply chain solutions across a range of projects and portfolios in our Networks Transmission business.\nReporting to the Procurement and Commercial Manager (Supply Chain) the Supply Chain Manager will support project teams and business unit stakeholders by developing strategic category plans, procurement strategies and contracts, and by providing robust pre and post contract management including supply chain engagement to support business goals and objectives primarily covering Consultancy and Support Contracts Category.\nYou will\n- Take ownership of specific subject area and be direct contact for Transmission customers ensuring supply chain intel is owned, developed and provided to Transmission customers in a coordinated and concise manner.\n- Lead the interface between Transmission and our Group Category Management teams to ensure demand requirements are properly communicated to permit group wide procurement strategies and contracts, whilst collating and consolidating supply chain intelligence required for Transmission project teams.\n- Ensure Transmission procurement strategies are incorporated within group-wide category plans, provide support to group-wide procurement events by coordinating Transmission information and requirements, monitor and report on procurement events and provide contract/framework information to Transmission Customers,\n- For ad-hoc tendering events that are Transmission specific, undertake full range of tendering activities for events which fall within subject area. This will include the collation of tender documentation, management of tender process, commercial analysis of contract/ tender submissions, the negotiation and drafting of specific contract terms and recommending the appropriate contract award\n- Undertake supply chain management activities, have oversight and ownership of supplier engagement for allocated suppliers and assist with supply chain performance management; collation of KPI data and production of KPI reports to help in assessment of supplier performance.\nYou have\n- Quantity Surveying degree / CIPS or equivalent\n- Experience in managing supply chain activities\n- Experience of managing frameworks/contracts on significant projects or programmes of work\n- Experience of the procurement process, including strategy development and implementation, ideally within a regulated environment but this is not essential.\n- Experience of NEC forms of contract, including contract drafting and contract administration.\nAbout SSE\nSSE’s purpose is to be restless every day until we make electricity clean, affordable and available for all.\nWe do this by developing, building, operating and investing in electricity infrastructure and businesses needed in the energy transition.
