The Sterile Processing Technician ensures that instruments and equipment are properly decontaminated for safe handling. This position does not directly manage any other caregivers.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:\nCoordinates, assembles and disassembles, and distributes supplies for surgical cases\nCleans, decontaminates, and sterilizes instruments and supplies\nResponsible for case cart and procedure preparation\nOperates various sterilization equipment\nRe-stocks department inventory and ensures instruments are stored in the proper location\nCleans and maintains department equipment\nSupports the vision, mission and values of the organization in all respects\nSupports Value Improvement Practice (VIP- Lean) principles of continuous improvement with energy and enthusiasm, functioning as a champion of change\nProvides and maintains a safe environment for caregivers, patients and guests\nConducts all activities with the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
