This position oversees the senior nutrition site services, which includes coordinating congregate and/or home delivered meals, managing volunteers, participant orientation, and collaborating with community partners for socialization opportunities. This is an on-call/part-time position with work typically scheduled during daytime hours. The position can support all of St. Croix County's Nutrition Site locations. Hours are based off operational needs and are not guaranteed.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nThe following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be required and assigned.\nOversees the Nutrition Program at the local senior center by providing service to congregate dining and home-delivered meal participants.\nEnsures proper staffing; oversees volunteers in set-up, serving, and clean-up.\nEnsures the site is following state and federal food sanitation regulations; ensures food is kept hot and/or properly refrigerated until serving time.\nEnsures daily cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining area before, during, and after meals.\nAssists in the recruitment, training and scheduling of volunteers who assist with the congregate and home delivered meal programs and keep record of volunteer hours served.\nTrains and directs the work of staff and volunteers assigned to the meal site/home delivered meal program.\nRegisters new congregate meal recipients, introduces and orientates new participants on the registration and donation procedure.\nPacks home-delivered meals and serves meals on site.\nCollect, record and deposits donations and transportation revenue received.\nPrepares and maintain records of each participant's attendance, and appropriate information for the meals served; Processes end-of-month reports and billing statements.\nSchedules transportation needs as needed for participants.\nMaintains on site nutrition program inventory; assists with supply orders.\nSubmits related programming articles to programming newsletter and media outlets for advertising/awareness.\nProvides opportunities for community activities and field trips for participants.\nArranges for community presentations, events, and various group activities.\nOther duties as assigned.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES\nThis section details the essential competencies required to perform the job effectively, including a mix of technical knowledge, practical skills, and personal attributes.\nAbility to develop and implement program standards and objectives outlined by superiors and to lead and instruct groups in activities designed for senior citizens.\nAbility to plan, organize and coordinate a variety of programs for older adults.\nAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, associates and the general public.\nGeneral knowledge of current office practices and procedures and knowledge of the operation of standard office equipment.\nTechnical proficiency in the use of software applications, databases, or other technology tools used in the position (e.g., Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).\nAbility to prepare and maintain accurate and concise records and reports.\nAbility to organize work, manage time, and meet deadlines. \nLANGUAGE SKILLS\nThis section outlines the communication abilities necessary for effective performance.
