You will work as part of a high-performing engineering team to design and develop end-to-end video analytics solutions and platforms that enable the deployment, operation, and visualisation of advanced AI and computer vision capabilities across multiple ST Engineering businesses.\nYou will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate complex analytics capabilities into robust, scalable, and user-friendly software products. This role places a strong emphasis on software engineering excellence, modern web development using React, and backend development using Java or Python.\nKey Responsibilities\nFull Stack Application Development\nDesign, develop, and maintain end-to-end applications for video analytics platforms, spanning front-end, backend, and system integrations.\nBuild responsive and intuitive user interfaces using React, enabling effective visualisation of video streams, analytics results, alerts, and workflows.\nDevelop backend services and APIs using Java or Python to support video analytics orchestration, configuration management, data access, and system integration.\nEnsure high standards of performance, reliability, security, and maintainability across the full stack.\nPlatform & Systems Integration\nIntegrate applications with video ingestion pipelines, computer vision services, and machine learning inference systems.\nWork with video streaming, event-driven architectures, and metadata services.\nCollaborate with infrastructure and system teams to deploy and operate platforms in enterprise or mission-critical environments.\nSupport integration with internal and external systems across ST Engineering businesses.\nSoftware Engineering Excellence\nApply strong software engineering principles, including clean code, modular design, testing, and documentation.\nParticipate actively in code reviews and architecture discussions, contributing to continuous improvement of the codebase.\nTroubleshoot and resolve defects, performance issues, and scalability challenges.\nContribute to shared frameworks, reusable components, and platform standards within the Video Analytics team.\nCollaboration & Delivery\nWork closely with machine learning engineers to ensure smooth integration between AI models and production platforms.\nEngage with product owners, domain experts, and users to understand requirements and deliver practical, operationally effective solutions.\nSupport agile development practices, including iterative delivery and incremental platform enhancements.\nRequired Skills & Experience\nEssential\nStrong experience as a Full Stack Developer, delivering production-quality software systems.\nExcellent software engineering fundamentals and experience building maintainable, scalable applications.\nFluency in React for front-end development.\nStrong backend development experience in Java or Python.\nFamiliarity with using databases such as PostgreSQL. \nExperience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and service-based architectures.\nProficiency with version control, testing practices, and collaborative development workflows.\nAbility to communicate effectively within cross-functional engineering teams.\nDesirable\nExperience with video analytics, video streaming, or media-centric platforms.\nFamiliarity with integrating AI or machine learning components into applications.\nExposure to microservices, containers, or cloud-based deployments.\nKnowledge of authentication, authorisation, and secure application design.\nExperience working on complex, enterprise-grade or operational
