About the Role

Join a friendly, hardworking team in a busy laundry environment where everyone plays a part in keeping things running smoothly.

What might seem like a routine task is essential to supporting our residents’ comfort and wellbeing.

As a Laundry Assistant, you’ll be part of a high-performing barrier laundry operation, handling significant volumes of personal and commercial laundry with precision, care and consistency. Working with specialist equipment and structured processes, you’ll help ensure every item is returned to the right place, at the right time, to the highest standard.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Delivering an efficient, safe and reliable barrier laundry service
  • Handling and processing large volumes of laundry with accuracy and care
  • Maintaining excellent hygiene standards in line with health & safety and infection control procedures
  • Keeping laundry equipment, stores and working areas clean, organised and well maintained
  • Supporting smooth day-to-day operations, including weekend working where required
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation
  • Occasionally supporting inter-site laundry transport
  • Taking pride in every item you process, because it matters to the people who receive it

Driving Duties (Secondary Responsibility)

  • Driving is not a core part of the role and will only be required when regular laundry drivers are unavailable (e.g. due to sickness or annual leave)
  • When required, responsibilities will include driving a Luton van to support deliveries and collections
  • This vehicle can be driven on a standard car licence

Working Pattern

  • 18 hours per week, with flexibility in how hours are worked
  • Flexibility is essential to provide cover for driver absences when required

  • Respond calmly to changing priorities and support team needs

Working with Others

  • Be part of a supportive, close-knit team that works in sync
  • Help colleagues where needed and contribute to a positive team culture
  • Take pride in shared goals and high standards

About You:
