Available Fridays 5-10pm, Saturdays 8a-2p or 2p-10p, Sundays 9a-3p.\nWork Location: On Campus.\nHourly Rate: $20.25.\nPosition Overview:\nThe Recreation Facilities Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the campus recreation and athletic facilities during assigned shifts. This role provides direct supervision and leadership to Recreation Attendants, ensures a safe and welcoming environment for all patrons, and supports overall facility functionality during regular hours and special events. The Recreation Facilities Supervisor serves as the primary point of contact for incident response and operational decision-making in the absence of full-time staff.\nEssential Job Duties:\nSupervise and support Recreation Attendants to ensure effective front-line operations.\nProvide leadership, direction, and real-time feedback to staff during shifts.\nServe as the primary responder to incidents and emergencies, including coordinating care and completing incident reports.\nEnsure all facility policies and procedures are enforced consistently and professionally.\nOversee facility operations, including opening, closing, and shift transitions.\nConduct routine facility walkthroughs to monitor safety, cleanliness, and equipment conditions.\nAddress patron concerns, conflicts, and escalated situations with professionalism and sound judgment.\nSupport special events, programs, and reservations within the facility.\nCommunicate important updates and issues to professional staff in a timely manner.\nAssist with staff training, onboarding, and ongoing development.\nEnsure proper use, setup, and storage of recreation equipment.\nSupervision Received and Exercised:\nReports to the Director of Recreation and Facility Coordinator\nThis position does not supervise anyone.\nRequired Qualifications:\n Education: High School Diploma (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).\nCPR/AED/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).\n\n Experience: Previous experience working in recreation, athletics, or a related environment. (At least 2 years preferred).\nDemonstrated leadership experience or ability to supervise staff effectively.\nStrong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.\nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to take initiative and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.\n\nPrerequisites:\nEmployment in this position is conditioned upon successful completion of a background check which may include: criminal background checks, reference checks, verification of work history, verification of any required academic credentials, licenses, and/or certifications, a motor vehicle check, verification of DOT certification, a credit check, employment eligibility verification, and/or a pre-employment physical.
