Our technology starts with you.\nSummary\nWe are seeking a Process Engineer to own and improve Wafer Cleaning and Lamination processes to ensure stable production, high yield, process capability, and compliance with quality and safety requirements. The role involves process optimization, troubleshooting, qualification, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nYOUR ROLE\nOwn and manage Wafer Cleaning and Lamination processes to ensure stable production, quality, yield, and process capability.\nDevelop, optimize, and maintain process parameters, recipes, and operating conditions.\nLead process troubleshooting and root cause analysis for process abnormalities, defects, excursions, and yield issues.\nDrive continuous improvement projects to improve process capability, yield, productivity, and cost.\nEstablish and maintain Process Control Plans, FMEAs, work instructions, and process specifications.\nAnalyze process and yield data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.\nSupport new product introduction (NPI), process qualification, engineering runs, and process buy-off.\nWork closely with Equipment, Quality, Production, Planning, and MES/IT teams to resolve manufacturing issues.\nSupport chemical/process change evaluations, DOE, process characterization, and qualification activities.\nEnsure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and manufacturing requirements for wet chemical processes.\nProvide technical support and training to production technicians and operators.\nYOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES\nBachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering, or a related discipline.\nMin 2-5 years of experience in semiconductor, electronics, PCB, panel-level packaging, wafer fabrication, or related manufacturing environments.\nHands-on experience in Wet Etch / Chemical Process operations is highly preferred.\nStrong knowledge of wafer cleaning processes such as acid/alkaline etching, chemical concentration control, etch rate control, and chemical bath management.\nFamiliar with structured problem-solving and quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, DOE, 8D, 5 Whys, Pareto analysis, and basic statistical methods.\nExperience in process troubleshooting, yield improvement, and root cause analysis.\nGood understanding of process control and manufacturing quality systems.\nExperience with automated process equipment is an advantage.\nKnowledge of semiconductor wafer/panel processing and packaging processes is an added advantage.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.\nAble to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.\nWilling to support production issues and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nPreferred Technical Experience\nWafer / panel cleaning and surface treatment\nLamination process\nDefect and yield analysis\nSPC / Process Capability analysis (CpCp, CpkCpk)\nDOE / Process optimization\nChemical safety and handling\nSemiconductor / Panel Level Packaging / PCB manufacturing\nST is proud to be one of the 17 companies certified as a 2026 Global Top Employer and the first and only semiconductor company to achieve this distinction.
