You will translate regulatory and normative requirements into clear engineering requirements and guide our teams toward compliant, safe, and certifiable products.\nYour mission\nOwn and coordinate certification and product compliance activities across BESS, inverter/power electronics, control systems, and cloud-connected products.\nTranslate normative and regulatory requirements provided by Product Compliance into clear technical requirements for Engineering.\nAdvise Electrical, Mechanical, Power Electronics, Systems, Firmware/Software, and Cloud teams on compliance-related design decisions.\nDevelop certification strategies, compliance plans, and verification requirements for new products and product variants.\nCoordinate testing and certification activities with external laboratories, certification bodies, and technical experts.\nProvide and review the technical certification input required for product risk assessments and technical documentation, while Product Compliance retains ownership of the formal conformity-assessment process and CE declaration.\nSupport cybersecurity certification requirements for embedded software, communication interfaces, remote connectivity and cloud-related product functions by translating the approved legal and normative baseline into technical requirements.\nIdentify certification gaps risks early, drive mitigation measures together with Engineering and track closure evidence through agreed interfaces.\nYour profile\nMust-Have:\n5+ years of professional experience in product certification, product compliance, testing, or systems engineering.\nExperience with BESS, power electronics, industrial electrical equipment, automation, or comparable complex technical products.\nPractical experience interpreting technical standards and translating them into engineering requirements.\nGood understanding of electrical safety, EMC, system safety, testing, and technical product documentation.\nUnderstanding of cybersecurity and compliance requirements for connected industrial products.\nExperience working with external test laboratories and certification bodies.\nAbility to understand system architectures, electrical schematics, specifications, software interfaces, and test reports.\nStrong technical communication skills and a structured, independent working style.\nFluent English.\nNice-to-Have:\nDirect experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems, battery systems or power conversion systems\nKnowledge of relevant standards, including: Power electronics & electrical equipment: IEC 62477-1, IEC 61439-1/-2 \nEMC: IEC 61000 series \nGrid connection: EN 50549, VDE-AR-N 4110, Austrian TOR, and related grid codes \nCybersecurity & connected products: IEC 62443 series \nBESS & battery safety: IEC 62933-5-1/-5-2, IEC 63056, IEC 62619, UL 9540A \nCloud security: ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27017 \nFunctional safety: EN 61508, ISO 26262, ISO 13849 or similar\n\nExperience with relevant EU product legislation, including the EU Battery Regulation, Low Voltage Directive, EMC Directive, and Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).\nExperience with CE conformity assessment, technical documentation, and product risk assessments.\nExperience supporting certification across multiple European markets.\nGerman language skills.\nWhy STABL Energy?\nSTABL Energy is one of the most innovative start-ups in the energy transition, ees Award winner 2022, pv magazine award winner 2025 and named a global Top100 Energy Start-up.
