Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Lathe Operator will be responsible for setup, operation and maintenance of the Case Turn Lathes. This role is pivotal in our casing manufacturing operations. You will learn and become knowledgeable on the ammunition case manufacturing process. You will be responsible for operating in accordance with our quality management systems SOPs.\nJOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nMaintain thorough understanding of Brut Case Lathes, setup and calibration\nTroubleshoot, repair and maintain Brut Case Lathes\nVerify efficacy and accuracy of Brut Case Lathes using calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators.\nRead, understand, and adhere to detailed product schematics and prints.\nIdentify and report vertically any non-conformances with trending data from Brut Case Lathe.\nUnderstand and meet or exceed set departmental manufacturing and efficiency targets.\nVerify settings by measuring positions and first-run parts while following all specifications.\nMaintain specifications by taking measurements, troubleshooting, and replacing worn tooling while adhering to QA procedures and processes.\nMaintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations - Identify, resolve, and report employee safety issues or concerns.\nMaintain equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements\nEnsure that work areas are clean daily and that all work is accomplished well within the safety parameters.\nRequirements\nThis is an extraordinary opportunity to join a team of driven professionals in a growing company that is producing the World’s Best Shooting Handguns. In addition to general team member expectations, this role specifically requires the following:\nStrong mechanical aptitude and must possess an above average level of attention to detail and good judgment\nExperience with precision measuring tools, such as calipers and indicators\nPrevious Machine Shop experience and/or familiarity with lathe turning machines and associated cutting tools and techniques a plus\nBasic computer skills and good verbal communication skills\nExperience with ISO 9001:2015 or proven track record of success using LEAN principles.\nAbility to work 4 X 10 day shift schedule, Mon-Thur\nHigh School Diploma or GED required\nMust be able to lift 50 pounds\nCapable of working scheduled shifts in an industrial environment, including long periods of standing.\nCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS\nWe offer a competitive and attractive package of compensation and benefits including health insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid vacation and holidays.
