You’ll collaborate across disciplines to frame problem spaces, define strategic paths forward, and refine details before launch. We take pride in that-and we’re looking for designers who thrive at this intersection of complexity and clarity.\nStackAdapt is a Remote-First company, and we are open to candidates located anywhere in Canada or US for this position.\n\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\nDrive the design strategy for Ivy's AI experience end to end, from generative UI to how AI shapes the future of the StackAdapt platform.\nSet the bar for how Ivy earns trust, showing its reasoning, signaling confidence, and recovering when it's wrong.\nLead design for complex, multi-team initiatives, ensuring clarity from problem framing through launch.\nCollaborate deeply with Product, Engineering, Research, Revenue, Client Services, and Leadership to align design direction with business outcomes and customer value.\nTranslate data-rich, technical systems into intuitive and scalable experiences that enable confident, efficient decision-making.\nDefine what a good AI response looks like, and partner with Engineering on the evals that test for it.\nBuild frameworks, patterns, and processes that improve product quality and consistency across teams and surfaces.\nDrive design vision and strategy that balances usability, automation, and performance, including latency, streaming, and cost per interaction.\nMentor and guide designers, sharing context, feedback, and systems thinking to strengthen collective impact.\nContribute to StackAdapt’s evolving design practices, ensuring our products, processes, and experiences scale with quality and intent.\nWhat You'll Bring to the Table\nDepth of experience designing complex products, ideally within data-driven, enterprise, or workflow-rich environments.\nExperience designing AI-powered products, and fluency with what makes them different: failures that are hard to predict, and interfaces that get generated rather than drawn.\nFluent use of AI tools in your own practice, including coded prototypes that call real models, with tools like Cursor or Claude Code. \nA point of view on where AI design is heading, and a track record of acting on it rather than watching it.\nStrong mastery of interaction design, prototyping, and information architecture, with the ability to visualize and communicate abstract concepts clearly.\nProven ability to connect design decisions to measurable business and user outcomes.\nExperience collaborating cross-functionally across technical, commercial, and operational teams to align around shared goals.\nA balance of craft excellence and strategic thinking-able to simplify the complex and focus teams on what matters most.\nStrong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.\nThe compensation range listed for this role reflects the expected base salary for candidates located in the posting country based on a global rate. It is informed by market data and the approved budget for this position. StackAdapt maintains different compensation ranges for roles across other countries and regions, and final offers will be aligned to the candidate’s current location. We do not ask candidates about current or prior salary history, and we will not use such information, if volunteered, in setting an offer.\nThis range represents base salary only.
