You’ll work closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to test features, build automated QA systems, and shape our quality culture from the ground up.\nWhat You’ll Do\nYou’ll be the first dedicated QA hire, setting the foundation for automated testing, release validation, and reliability metrics across the entire product surface.\nTest Planning & Execution\nDesign, write, and execute test plans for new features across web, API, and backend systems.\n\nDevelop and maintain automated test suites (unit, integration, end-to-end) for a modern TypeScript + Python stack.\n\nRun regression and performance tests before major releases.\n\nIdentify, document, and verify bugs in collaboration with engineers.\n\nAutomation & Tooling\nOwn and extend our test automation framework (Cypress, Playwright, or similar).\n\nIntegrate testing into CI/CD pipelines to catch regressions early.\n\nUse tools like Postman or k6 to validate APIs and load behavior.\n\nContribute to improving observability (logs, alerts, dashboards) to detect quality issues early.\n\nCollaboration & Process\nPartner with Product and Engineering to understand user workflows and identify high-risk areas.\n\nCollaborate directly with developers to debug issues and verify fixes.\n\nHelp document and standardize QA processes for future hires.\n\nParticipate in code reviews, release planning, and sprint retrospectives.\n\nWhat You’ll Bring\n2-4 years of experience in QA, Test Automation, or Software Testing.\n\nMust be proficient in Python\n\nStrong familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript (Cypress, Playwright, or Jest) and Python-based testing frameworks (PyTest, unittest).\n\nExperience testing APIs (REST/GraphQL) and web applications end-to-end.\n\nSolid understanding of software lifecycles, Git, and CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Render, or similar).\n\nStrong attention to detail and a love for building reliable, maintainable systems.\n\nExcellent communication skills and collaborative mindset, especially when working cross-functionally.\n\nNice to Have\nExperience testing AI/ML systems, data pipelines, or model outputs.\n\nFamiliarity with backend infrastructure (Temporal, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, FastAPI).\n\nPerformance or security testing experience.\n\nPrior startup experience, you’re comfortable with ambiguity and shipping fast.\n\nWhy Stack AI\nStack AI is a no-code platform that lets anyone design, test, and deploy AI workflows powered by large language models like GPT-4.
