This is a hands-on technical role and a relationship role in equal measure.\nThis is a hybrid role (4 days/week in office) at our Seattle office.\nWhat You Will Do:\nOwn the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, including timeline, task assignments, reviews, and sign-off, ensuring accuracy and consistency of reported results.\nResearch and document US GAAP technical memos, including revenue recognition (ASC 606), lease accounting, and R&D capitalization, and explain conclusions clearly to non-accounting stakeholders.\nPrepare year-end US GAAP financial statements and footnotes.\nCoordinate audit requests with external auditors, and research and resolve audit issues raised.\nOwn the integrity of key accounting processes by understanding transaction flows and internal controls, and recommending efficiency improvements.\nLead accounting projects from scoping through implementation, including documentation and training.\nPerform special projects assigned by the Finance lead.\nWho We Are Looking For:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred\n5+ years of accounting and finance experience, preferably in a mix of professional services (public accounting) and high-growth companies.\nCPA, highly preferred\nHands-on ASC 606 experience with subscription revenue; SaaS experience strongly preferred.\nStrong understanding of internal controls and compliance requirements.\nAbility to define, implement, and manage the creation of new processes.\nAbility to leverage technology to invent, improve, and scale.\nDemonstrated experience as a primary point of contact for external auditors.\nA track record of explaining technical accounting to non-finance audiences, in writing and in person.\nBonus Points If You Have:\nMBA or other advanced business degree.\nBenefits and Perks\nIt’s important that each and every employee feels they are supported and can complete their life’s best work today and in the future.
