The role will support Australian-based project teams delivering engineering solutions across a diverse range of brownfield projects.\nReady to do work that actually excites you?\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Civil / Structural Engineer to provide design, analysis and engineering documentation support to Australian lead engineers. The role is primarily a technical engineering position with a strong emphasis on structural steel and reinforced\nconcrete design for mining and heavy industrial infrastructure.\nAustralian engineers will retain responsibility for client management, project management and engineering sign-off.\nWhat You'll Do:\n\nYou'll be the kind of person who:\nStructural steel design and analysis.\nReinforced concrete design and assessment.\nModifications to existing plant structures.\nCivil infrastructure associated with mining and industrial facilities.\nEngineering calculations and modelling.\nDevelopment of technical reports and design documentation.\nDesign verification and checking activities.\nCollaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nAssisting with project scoping and budgeting.\nRequirements\nWhat You Bring:\n\nWe're looking for someone who:\nHolds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.\nHas experience designing structural steel and reinforced concrete structures.\nCan undertake structural analysis and engineering calculations.\nCan prepare technical reports, design calculations and engineering documentation.\nHas experience as a consulting engineer working on multiple jobs each with a specific budget and schedule.\nHas strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nCan work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.\nHas knowledge of Australian structural design standards or equivalent international standards.\nDesirable Experience\nMining infrastructure projects.\nPlant structures and materials handling infrastructure.\nConcrete foundations and slabs.\nRetaining walls, culverts and industrial civil infrastructure.\nExperience applying international standards to mining, industrial or heavy infrastructure projects will be highly regarded.\nFamiliarity with AS 1170, AS 4100, AS 3600 and AS 1657, and AISC 360, ACI 318, ASCE 7, Eurocodes and ISO 14122.\nSoftware and Systems\n\nPreference will be given to an engineer with experience using:\nSPACEGASS, STAAD.Pro, or SAP2000\nSolidworks (preferable) or AutoCAD.\nSharepoint\nExperience using structural analysis software and preparing engineering deliverables for mining and industrial projects will be highly regarded.\nAttributes\nExcellent analytical problem-solving skills with high attention to detail in engineering calculations and drawing reviews.\nProfessional level communication in English, written and verbal.\nComfortable asking questions to confirm understanding.\nConfident enough to push-back if they can see a problem with instructions given.\nCare enough about our team to make suggestions if they can see a better way to do things.\nWhat Success Looks Like\n\nWithin the first 12 months, the successful engineer will:\nBe producing design calculations, reports and engineering documentation that require minimal revision prior to review. \nBe proficient in checking and document control processes.\nDeliver structural steel and reinforced concrete design work within agreed timeframes. \nWork effectively with Australian engineers and multidisciplinary project teams. \nApply sound engineering judgement to structural design and analysis activities.\nBe trusted to independently undertake moderate complexity design and engineering tasks while operating within FIELD's QA and review processes.\nBenefits\nBenefits\n\nWhy You’ll Love Working Here\nHMO, Dental, and Life Insurance for you and one free dependent from day one (with the option to enroll additional dependents)\nPaid Leaves: Birthday, Vacation, Medical, and Maternity (up to 6 Vacation Leaves are convertible to cash on your anniversary)\nEmployee Engagement Activities: Year-End Party, Family Day, Team Building, and more!\nLet’s Talk \n\nIf you’re thinking “this sounds like me”-it probably is.
