Responsibilities\nManage and develop suppliers in accordance with company supply chain policies and procedures.\nConduct supplier assessments, manage supplier non-conformances and ensure corrective actions are implemented.\nMaintain the Approved Vendor List (AVL) in line with supplier management standards.\nSource alternative suppliers and negotiate favourable pricing, payment terms and purchasing agreements.\nOversee the procurement of products and outsourced services, ensuring compliance with specified requirements.\nManage project procurement activities to ensure materials and services are available within required timeframes.\nMonitor purchasing performance against KPIs and compile monthly reports.\nSupervise inbound and outbound warehouse activities, ensuring accurate goods receiving, timely dispatching and appropriate packaging.\nManage inventory control processes to maintain accurate stock records and appropriate stock levels.\nEnsure stock is stored and preserved correctly, with expired, damaged or obsolete stock managed according to company procedures.\nMonitor warehouse performance and report on departmental KPIs.\nEnsure compliance with quality management systems, company procedures and operational standards.\nPlan, prioritise and coordinate departmental activities to meet operational targets and deadlines.\nIdentify process inefficiencies, implement improvements and ensure the effective utilisation of resources.\nAssist with departmental budgeting, monitor expenditure and identify opportunities for cost savings.\nSupervise, coach and develop employees, monitor performance and address employee-related matters.\nSupport recruitment, training, performance appraisals and succession planning where required.\nEnsure compliance with company policies, applicable legislation and governance requirements.\nMaintain a safe, clean and orderly working environment in accordance with occupational health and safety standards.\nEnsure employees comply with safety procedures, wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow housekeeping requirements.\nMonitor employee punctuality, manage workloads and ensure departmental deadlines are met.\nMinimum Requirements\nQualificationsNational Diploma in Purchasing Management, Logistics or a related field.\nExperience5-10 years of experience in purchasing, procurement and/or warehouse management.\nPrevious supervisory or management experience, with a proven track record of successfully managing employees.\nExperience in supplier management, procurement negotiations, inventory control and warehouse operations.\n Skills and CompetenciesStrong leadership and people management skills.\nExcellent communication and negotiation skills.\nStrong
