This is an exciting opportunity to work with cloud platforms, modern data tools, and a passionate team of data, analytics, and insight professionals, helping us shape the future of transport.\nWhat you’ll be doing:\nLead teams who design, build and deploy reusable data architecture within the Stagecoach Integration Platform (SIP) and the data warehouse\nArchitect and design data platforms \nDevelop and implement robust Quality Assurance (QA) processes and the principles for the technical teams to abide by to ensure the reliability of the data from the source system(s) \nLead the teams who deliver data integration, engineering and data infrastructure, delegating tasks where appropriate to other team members\nWork across the Data Science & Data Engineering team to embed processes to guarantee the quality, performance and reliability of the SIP & data warehouse\nWork closely with other members of the Data, Analytics & Insight team to provide full end-to-end data product delivery\nEnsure all solutions are compliant with information security and regulatory obligations \nBe able to work with a product development mindset, forming close workgroups across Data, Analytics & Insight team members in the end-to-end data lifecycle\nCollaborating with colleagues across Central Functions and Operating Companies to deliver data capabilities that support strategic goals.\n What we’re looking for:\nStrong expertise in python, SQL for data integration and engineering, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP etc.), data warehousing tools and concepts (Redshift, Snowflake etc.)\nExperience of strategic implementation, ownership and development of technology solutions and platforms\nDeep understanding of industry-standard best practice around data and modelling\nExcellent communication skills, being able to translate complex technical information into non-technical language\nAbility and demonstrable experience in leading technical delivery teams\nRelevant academic qualifications (Masters, Degree etc)\nWhy Stagecoach?\nThe chance to shape the future of data at one of the UK’s largest transport operators.\nCompetitive salary and benefits package, including a generous pension scheme, bonus scheme, holiday allowance, free bus travel for you and a companion, and retail & leisure discounts.\nA supportive and collaborative working environment where your expertise will have real impact.\nOpportunities to grow and develop your career in a high-profile, business-critical team.\nOur working environment\nStagecoach is proud to be an inclusive employer.
