This position focuses exclusively on the infrastructure and services supporting our gaming platform.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nProduction Infrastructure & Systems Engineering\n\nAdminister and maintain Linux production, staging, and development environments.\n\nManage virtualized and on-premises infrastructure.\n\nConfigure and maintain HAProxy and load balancers.\n\nTroubleshoot networking, connectivity, system performance, and infrastructure-related issues.\n\nPerform system patching, upgrades, capacity planning, and resource optimization.\n\nEnsure high availability, scalability, and reliability of critical platform services.\n\nInstall, configure, maintain, and monitor PostgreSQL, MySQL, and other production databases.\n\nManage database replication, clustering, high availability, and failover.\n\nImplement and validate database backups and recovery procedures.\n\nMonitor and optimize database performance, resource utilization, and storage.\n\nTroubleshoot connection issues and database incidents.\n\nPerform database upgrades, patching, configuration tuning, and maintenance.\n\nCollaborate with backend developers to resolve issues.\n\nDeploy, configure, administer, and maintain Apache Kafka clusters.\n\nMonitor Kafka brokers, topics, partitions, replication, consumer lag, and cluster health.\n\nEnsure Kafka availability, reliability, performance, and fault tolerance.\n\nTroubleshoot Kafka-related issues, including broker failures, consumer lag, message delivery failures, and performance bottlenecks.\n\nPerform Kafka version upgrades, broker maintenance, and cluster capacity planning.\n\nOptimize Kafka performance, storage utilization, and network throughput.\n\nCollaborate with backend engineering teams to support reliable event-driven services and data pipelines.\n\nAutomate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Ansible and scripting.\n\nImprove platform reliability and reduce manual operational tasks.\n\nDevelop automation for routine maintenance, monitoring, and infrastructure management.\n\nMaintain monitoring and alerting solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.\n\nMonitor servers, databases, Kafka clusters, and platform components.\n\nInvestigate incidents, analyze root causes, and implement preventive measures.\n\nMaintain operational documentation and disaster recovery procedures.\n\nParticipate in an on-call rotation for production incidents.\n\nManage system access, DNS, certificates, secrets, and infrastructure-level security.\n\nPerform security patching and support vulnerability remediation.\n\nCollaborate with Security and Compliance teams to support relevant iGaming requirements.\n\nReference: Engineering.\n\nStrong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.\n\nHands-on experience managing production PostgreSQL or MySQL databases.\n\nPractical experience operating and maintaining Apache Kafka clusters.\n\nGood understanding of Kafka brokers, topics, partitions, replication, retention, and consumer groups.\n\nStrong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, firewalls, and load balancing.\n\nExperience with HAProxy or similar technologies.\n\nExperience with Docker and Kubernetes.\n\nExperience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform.\n\nBash or Python scripting skills.\n\nExperience with Prometheus, Grafana, and centralized logging solutions.\n\nUnderstanding of high availability, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, and capacity planning.\n\nStrong troubleshooting skills and experience supporting business-critical production environments.\n\nFamiliarity with ISO 27001/ITIL.\n\nNice to Have\n\nExperience in the iGaming, betting, or payments industry.\n\nAdvanced PostgreSQL or MySQL database administration experience.\n\nExperience with Kafka KRaft mode, Kafka Connect, or Schema Registry.\n\nExperience with Redis, ClickHouse, RabbitMQ, or MongoDB.\n\nKnowledge of VMware, Proxmox, or other virtualization platforms.\n\nFamiliarity with CI/CD, Argo CD.\n\nExperience with distributed systems and microservices
