You'll set the strategy for detecting and stopping fraud, dealing with chargebacks and strategising and staying ahead of bonus abuse and multi-accounting. what we're building.\nRequirements\nWhat We're Looking For\nMust-have\n4+ years in fraud, payments or risk within betting, gaming, fintech or e-commerce.\nHands-on experience with card payments and PSPs, including bonus abuse, chargeback handling, disputes and representation.\nStrong working knowledge of fraud typologies\nComfortable working with large amounts of data\nGood understanding of UKGC requirements that touch payments\nRight to live and work in Malta.\nNice-to-have\nExperience in a fast-paced startup or consumer tech environment.\nFamiliarity with card scheme monitoring programmes\nExperience with fraud scoring or rules-engine tools, and with analytics tools\nExposure to other regulated markets, such as Ontario (AGCO/iGO), as we look to expand beyond the UK.\nYou\nSceptical by default: you notice when numbers look too good, and you ask why before anyone else does.\nData-led: you make calls from evidence, measure whether controls work, and change them when they don't.\nCommercially minded: you get that the goal is stopping bad actors without adding friction for the genuine customers we want to keep.\nHands-on: you're comfortable in the detail, including case reviews, transaction analysis and rule tuning, not just managing from afar.\nAI-first: you look for ways to automate detection and reporting before reaching for more headcount.\nWhat You'll Do\nOwn and lead our fraud prevention strategy and controls across sign-up, deposits, promotions and withdrawals.\nDetect, investigate and act on fraud and bonus abuse\nManage chargebacks end to end\nOwn the day-to-day running of our payments operations\nDesign and tune fraud rules and risk scoring, working with product and engineering\nWork closely with AML, safer gambling, marketing and player experience teams\nReport on fraud, chargeback and payment KPIs and risk trends to senior leadership.\nOwn relationships with our fraud and payment providers, end to end.\nBenefits\nWhat We
