Ship Quality. Make an Impact.\nJoin Stampin' Up! as a Junior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)\nAt Stampin' Up!, we're known for helping people create meaningful connections through creativity. Behind every order, every subscription, every reward, and every crafting experience is technology built by passionate people who care deeply about delivering exceptional experiences.\nWe're looking for a Junior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) who is curious, collaborative, and excited to grow. This isn't a traditional QA role. Here, you'll be a software engineer who happens to focus on testing, helping us build quality directly into the products our demonstrators and customers rely on every day.\nIf you love solving puzzles, asking questions, digging into data, and figuring out how things really work, we'd love to meet you.\nA Little About Us\nAt Stampin' Up!, our mission goes beyond creating products. We create opportunities for people to connect, share, and build communities around creativity. Our culture is rooted in four core values:\nWe Care About People First\nWe Act With Courage\nWe Better Our Best\nWe Own It\nWe're a company that believes great work happens when talented people feel supported, trusted, and empowered to grow. We celebrate creativity in all forms, whether that's designing a beautiful handmade card or building a better automated testing framework.\nWhat You'll Do\nYou'll be part of a small, highly collaborative team where quality isn't something inspected at the end. It's built in from the beginning.\nAs an SDET, you'll be embedded with the development team, not a separate QA department. You'll work side-by-side with developers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure quality is part of every conversation.\nYou'll also help us continue our evolution from manual testing to automation-first quality practices. In this role, you'll help build the automated tests that decide whether a release ships, while still applying critical thinking and exploratory testing where automation isn't the best solution.\nYou'll gain exposure to the full business, including opportunities to learn a real e-commerce business end to end: ordering, payments, subscriptions and commissions.\nThis is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys learning, asks thoughtful questions, and isn't afraid to tackle a large system one piece at a time.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nThe people who thrive here tend to be:\nCurious enough to investigate beyond the first answer\nComfortable asking questions and learning from others\nExcited by both technical challenges and business problems\nStrong communicators who can build trust with technical and non-technical partners\nAccountable and proactive rather than waiting for direction\nAdaptable and eager to learn new tools, technologies, and ways of working\nPositive team players who contribute to a healthy, collaborative culture\nKey Responsibilities\nDemonstrate Stampin' Up!'s core values in your daily work and interactions\nPartner closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and identify quality risks early\nDesign, develop, and maintain automated tests for web applications, APIs, and backend services\nWrite SQL queries to validate business processes, investigate defects, and verify data integrity\nIntegrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and improve test reliability and coverage\nUse AI tools daily to write tests, investigate failures and speed up your work\nEvaluate and validate AI-generated code and recommendations with sound engineering judgment\nPerform exploratory and manual testing when automation isn't practical or sufficient\nInvestigate production issues, analyze logs, and help identify root causes\nDocument test results, defects, and quality risks using Azure DevOps and related tools\nTake ownership of testing efforts and continuously improve team processes and automation capabilities\nContribute to software development projects as needed through the same engineering and code review process as the rest of the team\nRequirements\nWhat You'll Need\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience\n3+ years of experience in software testing, test automation, or software development involving automated testing\nExperience building and maintaining automated tests with frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress\nProficiency in at least one programming language such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or C#\nStrong SQL skills, including joins, aggregations, troubleshooting, and data validation\nExperience testing REST APIs and understanding modern integration patterns\nFamiliarity with Git, pull requests, code reviews, and CI/CD workflows\nAbility to distinguish application issues from test failures or environment issues\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nClear verbal and written communication skills\nBonus Points If You Have\nExperience with Playwright and TypeScript\nExperience with Azure DevOps\nExperience testing .NET applications and Microsoft SQL Server\nExperience with AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar tools\nExperience validating financial calculations, commissions, or high-volume data processes\nExperience supporting e-commerce, payment processing, or order management systems\nExperience with Application Insights, logging tools, and troubleshooting distributed systems\nExperience with accessibility, performance testing, or test data management\nExperience contributing production code, not just test code\nExperience helping improve engineering tooling or automation frameworks\nA Few Honest Challenges\nWe're committed to helping team members grow, and we believe transparency helps everyone succeed.\nIn this role, you'll be learning and contributing within a large, interconnected system. The products support both our e-commerce experience and the internal systems that drive ordering, commissions, subscriptions, and business operations.\nMuch of the evidence for whether something is working correctly lives in the data, so SQL won't be an occasional tool. You'll use it regularly.\nYou'll also balance automation and hands-on testing. Not everything should be automated, and part of your success will be learning when each approach makes the most sense.\nMost importantly, you'll need the confidence to ask questions, seek feedback, and learn continuously. Nobody masters everything on day one.\nWhy You'll Love Working Here\nBesides working with incredible people?\nWe've got perks.\nA wicked-awesome benefits package (seriously, compare it)\nA Friday dress code every day of the week. Dust off those jeans.\nExtreme crafting experiences (totally optional, but surprisingly fun)\nGenerous paid time off because work-life balance matters\nTuition assistance to support your career growth\n401(k) program with company match\nA collaborative culture where your ideas matter\nOpportunities to learn, grow, and make a meaningful impact\nReady to Join Us?\nIf you're excited about automation, quality engineering, AI-assisted development, and solving real business problems alongside great people, we'd love to hear from you.\nBring your curiosity. Bring your problem-solving skills. Bring your willingness to learn.\nWe'll help you build the rest.\nApply today and help us create experiences that inspire creativity and connection around the world.","description_format":"text","description_chars":7458,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":3,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":true},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Commerce","Arts, Crafts & Hobby Supplies"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-11-02T17:39:43Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"US","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"H-1B filings in 12 months: 3","filings_12m":3,"filings_prev_12m":2,"green_card_filings_12m":0,"median_offered_wage_usd":127500,"route":null,"cap_exempt":false,"checked_at":"2026-10-29T16:27:21+00:00","sources":["US Department of Labor: LCA disclosure data (H-1B, H-1B1, E-3)","US Department of Labor: PERM disclosure data (green cards)"],"filings_for_role_12m":0}],"liveness":{"score":86,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.86,"p_room":1,"age_days":2,"expected_fill_days":22,"reasons":["conf:5","win:early","comp:junior"],"computed_at":"2026-11-05T05:54:30Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/stampin-up-junior-software-development-engineer-in-test","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/stampin-up-junior-software-development-engineer-in-test.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-11-06T01:30:18Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":2475,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-11-07T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":2692871},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=2692871"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fstampin-up-junior-software-development-engineer-in-test"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fstampin-up-junior-software-development-engineer-in-test"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fstampin-up-junior-software-development-engineer-in-test"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/stampin-up-junior-software-development-engineer-in-test\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fstampin-up-junior-software-development-engineer-in-test"}],"agent":{"mcp":"https://alion.io/mcp/jobs","mcp_open":"https://alion.io/mcp/open","next":[{"tool":"get_job","arguments":{"id":3619050}},{"tool":"search_jobs","arguments":{"company":"stampinup.com","detail":"compact"}},{"tool":"match_people","arguments":{"job_id":3619050},"note":"people open to offers who fit this vacancy"}],"note":"The same data through MCP tools: https://alion.io/mcp/open needs no sign-in (compact searches, postings, people); https://alion.io/mcp with an Alion account has everything.
