Learn more at www.stan(.)ai\nThe Role\nWe're looking for a hands-on finance professional to help build and scale our Finance function - a rare chance to shape how Finance works at Stan from the ground up, not just execute an existing playbook. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you'll get a front-row seat to how a fast-growing AI startup runs, with real ownership over key parts of our day-to-day finance operations as you help build stronger reporting, planning, systems and financial insights as the company grows.\nThis is a broad, high-visibility role for someone who enjoys both getting into the details and improving how things work. You'll work across accounting operations, FP&A, systems, automation and strategic analysis, with real ownership from day one.\nTasks\nMonth-End Close: Own the monthly close process and deliver accurate, timely financial reporting for the board and investors\nTechnical Accounting: Revenue recognition, consolidated reporting, and external audit ownership, with real accounting-policy judgment.\nBilling & Collections: Own billing, invoicing, AR/collections, and support AP and payments, building stronger controls as you go.\nAutomation & Intelligent Workflows: Evaluate, implement and continuously improve our Finance systems (billing, sales tax, spend management, reporting infrastructure), bringing a curious, AI-forward mindset to automating recurring processes and surfacing insights faster.\nCompliance: Support sales tax, compliance, SRED process and other recurring finance requirements.\nPlanning & Forecasting: Support the annual operating plan, forecasting, and cash-flow/runway visibility. \nBusiness Partnering: Build and maintain budget-vs-actual and recurring KPI/management reporting, partnering directly with department leaders.\nStrategic Finance: Identify cost-saving opportunities and build the business cases behind major investments and capital-allocation decisions.\nRequirements\nMust-Have\nRelevant Experience: 4-7 years of progressive finance experience, with a CPA designation.\nTechnical Foundation: A strong grounding in accounting and financial analysis, including month-end close and balance sheet management\nComfortable with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis\nStartup Grit: Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where processes may still need to be built.
