Founded to make industrial automation more accessible and affordable, Standard Bots takes a vertically integrated approach - developing its own hardware, software, vision system, and electronics - so manufacturers of all sizes can deploy robots without specialized expertise or coding skills. Standard Bots' robots are trusted by organizations ranging from independent machine shops to NASA and Lockheed Martin. Standard Bots is the largest U.S. industrial robotics company by robots shipped and one of the fastest-growing in the industry.\nLocation\nThis role is onsite 5 days/week onsite in our South East PA shop\nRole overview\nAs a Technician on the Implementation team, you are the hands-on builder behind Standard Bots' integrated turn-key systems. You'll assemble and wire robotic cells in our shop, travel to customer sites to support machine installations alongside Automation Engineers, and serve as the first point of contact when deployed systems need attention. You're equally at home at a workbench wiring an electrical panel as you are on a factory floor aligning a robot installation. You take pride in clean work, follow safety procedures without being told, and communicate clearly when something doesn't look right.\nWhat you'll do\nShop Build & Wiring\nAssemble robotic automation cells from mechanical drawings and BOMs (bill of materials), including frame assembly, fixture mounting, and component installation\nWire electrical panels, junction boxes, and field devices per engineering schematics and NEC standards\nRoute cable, conduit, and pneumatic lines within automation cells to drawing specifications\nPerform pre-ship checks: continuity testing, sensor verification, and documentation of as-built deviations\nMachine Installation\nTravel to customer sites to install robotic automation systems alongside Automation Engineers\nCoordinate equipment rigging, anchoring, and utility connections with customer facilities teams • Commission mechanical and electrical systems on-site: equipment integration, alignment, cable dressing, and sensor setup\nSupport FAT/SAT processes and work through installation punch lists to closure\nFirst-Line Support\nServe as the primary first responder for customer support requests during warranty and post-deployment periods\nDiagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues remotely or on-site; escalate\nsoftware-level issues to Automation Engineers with clear documentation\nLog support cases, capture symptoms and steps taken, and follow through until issues are resolved\nContribute field observations back to engineering to help prevent recurring issues\nShop & Documentation\nMaintain shop workspaces, inventory, and tooling in clean, organized condition\nComplete build records and update drawings with as-built changes\nSupport the development and refinement of build procedures, wiring standards, and installation checklists\nWhat you'll bring\n1-3 years of hands-on experience in electrical or mechanical assembly, industrial installation, or field service\nDemonstrated ability to read and work from wiring schematics, mechanical drawings, and BOMs\nExperience working in a manufacturing, fabrication, or hands-on technical environment\nTechnical Skills\nProficiency in wire termination, panel wiring, and reading electrical schematics\nMechanical assembly skills: hand tools, power tools, fastener torque, and basic fixture alignment\nAbility to interpret BOMs, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings accurately\nBasic troubleshooting with a multimeter and standard test equipment\nComfortable using computers for logging support tickets, updating documentation, and coordinating remote troubleshooting\nSoft Skills & Mindset\nHands-on and self-motivated: you take ownership of your work and your workspace\nComfortable working independently in the shop and at customer sites; willing to travel\nClear communicator: you document your work accurately, flag issues early, and loop in the right people • Safety-conscious: you follow procedures, use PPE, and look out for your teammates\nNice to have\nExperience with robot systems, cobots, or industrial automation equipment\nOSHA 10 course or equivalent safety training\nElectrical apprenticeship, vocational training, or associate's degree in an electromechanical field\nExperience with pneumatic systems and component installation\nFamiliarity with reading and interpreting 2D CAD or SolidWorks drawings\nWillingness to travel for customer site installations (estimated 25-50% travel)\nCompensation and Benefits\nThe salary range for this role is $60,000 to $100,000. We are open to a variety of seniority levels for this role and will build compensation packages that are commensurate with seniority and skill level. Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at Standard Bots. All Full-Time Employees are eligible for Employee Stock Options. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees.","description_format":"text","description_chars":5175,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":1,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"associate","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Life insurance","Stock options","Vision insurance"],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Industrial Robotics","Collaborative Robots (Cobots)"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-29T19:18:50Z"}],"liveness":{"score":90,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.903,"p_room":1,"age_days":2,"expected_fill_days":54,"reasons":["conf:0","velocity","win:early","comp:junior"],"computed_at":"2026-10-02T05:45:00Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":100000,"is_top_pay":true},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/standard-bots-technician","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/standard-bots-technician.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-03T03:26:25Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":3183,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":1817,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-04T00:00:00Z"}}}
