The SCM Team is looking for a candidate with strong experience in sourcing / procurement and the gravitas to engage stakeholders within SCB business functions to support key priorities. The successful candidate will be responsible for:\nInfluencing and executing Low to Medium Complexity sourcing activities in collaboration with various business functions and related support teams. Ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate excellence in negotiating favourable commercial outcomes.\nExecuting sourcing deals in alignment with category strategies, objectives, and supply chain targets.\nKey accountability of collaborating with SCM to management the pipeline, focussing on value creation and ensuring that deals are constructed in a commercially sound, scalable manner.\nTeam player working across SCM to ensure optimal support and service is provided to the assigned business functions.\nDeliver quality supply arrangements and cost savings\nKey Responsibilities\nCarries out sourcing engagements that align with applicable global category strategies.\nContribute to the development of clear deal strategies, ensuring alignment/priorities of relevant categories.\nProactively engage with assigned stakeholders to understand overall requirements, challenge current thinking and strengthen vendor management as a strategic advantage for the function.\nEnsuring enhanced governance and controls to protect the Groups assets and stakeholders in relation to vendor decisions.\nOperates within the requirements of the Bank’s sustainability strategy and promotes alignment with the Banks Sustainability agenda.\nParticipate in regular pipeline reviews to maintain accuracy of forecasts.\nSupport contract remediation and dispute resolution of existing relationships, up to and including exit management if required.\nEstablish and maintain effective stakeholder engagement demonstrating value to the assigned businesses through joint innovation on efficiency, supplier risk, sustainability, and compliance matters.\nInfluence the buy decisions.\nLead deal negotiations with suppliers, including Outsourcing.\nManages low to medium complex competitive sourcing events (RFx, eAuction etc.) without supervision.\nLeads the contract negotiations with the suppliers, accurately interprets contractual terms into risks, and supports the closing of contractual blockages through to completion, including the alignment with the applicable business stakeholders.\nEnsure that supplier partnering strategies incorporate the needs of the assigned stakeholders, leveraging existing SCB suppliers as appropriate to reduce lead-times.\nWork collaboratively with the wider SCM team to ensure effective and efficient service delivery for the business.\nEmbed the Sustainability agenda into contracts as appropriate.\nEnsures Strategic vendors are managed in accordance with the Vendor Management process and needs of the assigned functions and stakeholders.\nSupport and execute necessary actions and deliverables to meet existing Third-Party Risk Management Requirements.\nSupport risk reviews for SCM and support corrective actions where applicable.\nEnsure effective escalation for all blockages, risks, issues or non-adherence to Group Policies.\nComply with the highest standards of regulatory and business conduct as defined by internal and external requirements.\nUnderstand and ensure compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations and guidelines including those governing securities activities, company law, anti-money laundering, terrorist financing and sanctions; the Group’s policies and procedures; and the Group Code of Conduct.\nTake personal responsibility for understanding the risk and compliance requirements of the role and Data Quality.\nEmbed the Group’s Values and Group Code of Conduct to ensure adherence with the highest standards of ethics.
