We will rely on you to build data products to extract valuable business insights.\nIn this role, you should be highly analytical with a knack for analysis, math and statistics. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for interpreting data. We also want to see a passion for machine-learning and research.\nKey Responsibilities\nAdvanced Analytics and AI\nBuild and implement the Dashboard/Reporting platform, Machine Learning environment, and Analytics platforms (AWS, Google) with relevant stakeholders.\nDevelop predictive models and machine learning algorithms for propensity to buy, churn prevention, behavioural segmentation, and personalization across deposits, lending, investments, and bancassurance products.\nConduct AML, Credit Risk, and Fraud analytics, including detection models, scoring models, early warning indicators, transaction monitoring analytics, and anomaly detection.\nCreate and maintain fraud detection and prevention models (application fraud and transaction fraud) and continuously enhance detection logic based on emerging patterns.\nBuild and refine AML analytics such as suspicious activity detection, behavioural patterning, customer risk scoring, and model tuning to reduce false positives.\nDevelop and maintain credit scoring models, behavioural risk models, and portfolio monitoring analytics to support underwriting, line management, collections, and risk-based pricing.\nAnalyse large datasets from internal and third-party sources to drive optimization of products, customer experience, risk controls, marketing effectiveness, and business strategies.\nEnhance data collection procedures to include features relevant for building robust product, risk, AML, and fraud analytic systems.\nProcess, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used in model development and ongoing analytics.\nAutomate data ingestion pipelines and anomaly detection systems, ensuring continuous performance tracking.\nIdentify trends and patterns using exploratory data analysis, statistical techniques, and AI driven insights.\nPresent insights using clear storytelling, data visualization techniques, and actionable recommendations for business and risk stakeholders.\nExecute ad hoc analyses across business, product, AML, credit, and fraud domains, presenting clear results to senior management.\nSelect features, build and optimize machine learning classifiers, and implement continuous improvements to models.\n\nModel Governance\nDevelop processes, dashboards, and tools to monitor and analyse model performance, stability, drift, and data accuracy across Product, AML, Credit Risk, and Fraud models.\nSupport full model governance lifecycle including documentation, validation readiness, performance reporting, and compliance with internal model risk management standards.\nConduct periodic reviews of model inputs, assumptions, conceptual soundness, and operational effectiveness.\nMonitor false positive/false negative rates, ongoing calibration needs, and performance degradation.\nCollaborate with Model Validation, Compliance, Risk teams to ensure adherence to regulatory expectations and internal governance frameworks.\nEnsure transparency, traceability, and reproducibility of all models-including versioning, change management, and governance artefact maintenance.\nProvide clear reporting of model behaviours, risks, limitations, and performance outcomes to business, product, and risk committees.\nRegulatory & Business Conduct\nDisplay exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.\nTake personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.
