You will drive our platform forwards and deliver quality solutions to business-critical customer requirements. Your team will collaborate in a dynamic global organisation, with fellow engineers, business analysts, project managers and business stakeholders across multiple locations.\nServes as senior developer, potentially leading a squad of several members.\nUnblocks progress and solves problems at the team’s level,\nOwns the technical aspect of the team's delivery,\nOwns the effectiveness of the stream's development processes,\nDrives the technical roadmap for the stream and participates in improving the wider platform,\nOversees the designs done by other developers and ensures they are aligned with the roadmaps,\nOversees the velocity and quality of the code produced by the stream's developers.\nStrategy\nDefinition of the team’s technical roadmap, adherence to the platform’s roadmap.\nBusiness\nTake ownership of the of design and delivery of assigned features. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.\nEffectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.\nKey stakeholders\nHead of Development, Head of Programme Delivery, Squad Technical Leads, Scrum Masters, Project Managers, QA Leads, Business Product Owners, other Engineering Managers, Platform Architect.\nOur Ideal Candidate\n10+ years of relevant experience in full stack engineering background with deep expertise in either front end or back end development, and solid hands on experience across the other part of the stack. \nPossess good software design principles and the ability to write robust code and accompanying test suites,\nExpert or experienced in React, Redux, RX JS, NPM/Yarn, webpack, CSS, HTML and the rest of web stack.\nExpert or experienced in Java and Spring Boot. Knowledge of reactive programming is a strong plus.\nWrites efficient, clear and well tested code, and able to articulate what was built and why,\nBuilt complex, real-time, event-driven, highly componentized applications,\nOptimized performance of latency sensitive systems.\nFinancial Market domain knowledge, preferably investment banking, Derivatives product knowledge and e-trading technology experience.\nProven technical leadership experience with experience leading a team in an agile product development environment,\nExperienced in driving requirements and development efforts,\nProactive and autonomous self-starter.\nExperienced in the end-to-end design, development and support complex systems,\nKeen problem solver, with strong sense of ownership and ability to deal with ambiguity.\nRole Specific Technical Competencies\nJava, Spring Boot & RX Java\nMicroservices, Containers and Cloud\nArchitecture and System Design\nSDLC incl.
