We are actively searching for qualified professional electricians with a desire to hone their career by being part of the premier solar photovoltaic owner operator of C&I assets in the nation.\nThe Sr. Field Operations Technician supports the team in the maintenance and repair of Standard Solar’s fleet of solar assets. Activities include maximizing the performance of an expanding fleet of solar electric and battery power systems across the nation. The daily activities of the Sr. Field Operations Technician include both hands-on field work and in-office preparation and meetings. Field work includes preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance of existing commercial PV systems, as well as testing, job safety planning, troubleshooting, inspection and commissioning of new assets.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nSr. Field Operations Technicians will be available to travel and perform the following functions with a group or alone as required on a daily basis:\nTesting, diagnosing, and troubleshooting existing PV systems in the field and remotely\n\nInspecting and reviewing commissioning documentation and supporting the construction team with the commissioning of newly constructed solar assets as required\n\nConducting maintenance inspections and providing reports on findings\n\nCoordinating and supporting the operations team with the prompt resolution of system outages and analyzing system performance via online monitoring and data tracking systems\n\nPerforming quality control inspections as necessary\n\nPreparing quotes for corrective maintenance\n\nParticipating in both formal and \"in the field\" training and programs\n\nApplying Standard Solar and OSHA’s safety policies and principles at all times\n\nMaintaining an awareness of the latest construction technologies, materials, and test procedures relevant to the industry\n\nReporting work progress, plans, issues, and problems to management in accordance with Company policies and procedures\n\nMaintaining respectful and professional working relationships with clients and developing professional relationships with potential clients\n\nSupporting asset operations by being on-call for emergency and weekend support on a rotating basis\n\nMeeting and/or exceeding established performance objectives as defined and communicated by management\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nHigh school diploma is required\n\nA minimum of (10) years of hands-on electrical experience as a Solar Technician with qualifying experience demonstrating eligibility to sit for the Master Electrician Certification examination.\n\nTroubleshooting logic and strong organizational skills\n\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team\n\nProficiency and experience with the National Electric Code (NEC)\n\nCompetency with Microsoft Office\n\nJourneyman or Master Electrician certification is preferred\n\nBachelor of Science degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering or related discipline is preferred.\n\nExperience with MODBUS control schemes and data acquisition systems is preferred\n\nNABCEP PV Installation Professional (PVIP) certification is preferred\n\nOSHA training is preferred\n\nMust be willing to travel up to two weeks out of the month\n\nMust successfully pass background check and pre-employment drug testing.\n\nMust be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.\n\nPOSITION ROUTINELY INTERFACES WITH:\nCustomers, subcontractors, general public, all employees.\n\nWork Environment\nThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Interfaces with customers, vendors, and the public.
