Our stability, resources, and respectful culture supports you in building a solid career with a great team you can count on day in and day out for the long term.\nAs a Bench Operator, you’ll set up and operate a variety of hand tools such as hammers, files, dremels, drills, presses, low temperature ovens, pullers and hand grinders to perform various operations such as blending, chasing threads, deburring, angle checking, coldworking metals, masking, and braze application.\nWhat you’ll do:\nSets up and operates a variety of hand tools such as hammers, files, dremels, vibro-peen tools, drills, presses, low temperature ovens, pullers and hand grinders to perform various operations such as blending, chasing threads, deburring, angle checking, coldworking metals, masking, and braze application.\nReads and interprets specification manuals, blueprints, templates, and layouts for product specifications such as tooling instructions, tolerances and dimensions. Translates instructions into actions.\nFits and assembles machined metal parts and sub-assemblies using hand and power tools.\nManually aligns components for assembly and bolts, screws, dowels or rivets complex series of parts together.\nVerifies dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.\nInspects quality and accuracy of run work.\nSets up and operates test equipment (e.g., pressure test).\nParticipates in continuous improvement of cell processes.\nCross trains in other complementary skills and seeks endorsement for those skills as needed to support production requirements.\nMoves between production assignments that utilize multiple skills endorsements as needed to support production requirements.\nParticipates in the cross training of other technicians as needed to support production requirements.\nResponsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.\nCarries out other duties as assigned.\nBasic Qualifications:\n1+ years of experience with hand tools (e.g. grinders, sanders, files, and dremels, etc.)\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted).\nAbility to sit or stand for at least 50% of shift.\nDesired Skills:\nMechanical aptitude with previous experience with hand tools and/or power tools. \nPrior experience with auto body, metal fabrication and engine repair.\nAbility to read/interpret manuals, technical drawings, and/or blueprints. \nExperience with precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers\nPrevious aerospace/aviation experience.\nBenefits that make life better:\nComprehensive Healthcare\n401(k) with 100% company match;
