This role which includes accounts payable and accounts receivable responsibilities, offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development within the accounting field. The work environment is in the aviation industry, demanding a candidate who can handle tasks efficiently and accurately.\nWhat you’ll do:\nAccounts payable and receivable: assist in processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements and preparing payments to suppliers. Help with monitoring accounts receivable, recording payments, and following up on outstanding invoices\nCash Application: Process incoming customer payments received via check, ACH and wire transfers to customer’s account along with scanning and daily reconciliation of batch bank processing\nSupplier Payments: Process supplier payments weekly via credit card, auto-debit, ACH or wire\nGeneral Bookkeeping: maintain accurate and up to date accounting records, including auditing previous records, expense tracking and bank reconciliations\nDate Entry: enter financial data into the accounting system with speed and precision, ensuring the integrity and completeness of the records\nRecord Maintenance: organize and file financial documents, receipts, and reports for easy retrieval and audit purposes\n Administrative Support: assist in handling clerical accounting tasks, such as preparing correspondence, answering phone inquiries and supporting the team as needed\nCompliance and Regulation: stay up to date with accounting regulations and internal policies to ensure adherence and accuracy in financial processes\nCommunication: maintain effective communications with team members and other departments, fostering a collaborative work environment\nEnd of Month support: Assist in the preparation of monthly internal department profit statements accurately and efficiently\nPosition Requirements:\nHigh school diploma or GEDDegree preferred but not required\n\n2+ years of accounting experience in most recent employmentAccounts payable and receivable 2 years at least preferred \n\n1+ years of accounting software experience and Microsoft excel or similar spreadsheet tools\nPreferred Characteristics:\nSolid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices\nExcellent organizational skills and time management skills to meet deadlines efficiently\nStrong analytical skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial data entry and reporting\nA willingness to learn and adapt to evolving accounting practices\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nIntegrity and ethical behavior when handling sensitive financial information\nAbility to work quickly and efficiently\nOther:\nOnsite and in-office, non-remote position.\nNo traveling is required.\nHours of operation: 7:00am - 3:30pm\nBenefits that make life better:\nComprehensive Healthcare\n401(k) with 100% company match;
