Our stability, resources, and respectful culture supports you in building a solid career with a great team you can count on day in and day out for the long term.\nMechanical - Engineering Co-op Student\n1 position available (8-month term, January - August 2027)\nfor the Langley location\nWe have ONE opening for an eight-month term Mechanical Engineer Co-op Student for the Engineering Department. This position will be based out of the Langley, British Columbia facility and will report to the Director, Engineering - Langley.\nWhat you'll do:\nCreation and updating of Mechanical Drawings in Solidworks.\n\nCreation and updating of Work Instructions, and Manuals in support of the design, development and implementation of aircraft modifications and tooling design.\n\nAssist in the collection of aircraft project data (inspection, performance, vibration, trend analysis) and prepare reports.\n\nAssist in the creation and amending required manufacturing documentation and data.\n\nAssisting with First Article Activities for new manufacturing products.\n\nAssist in the creation and maintenance of documents such as aircraft ICAs, ELA’s, FMS’, Major Modification reports and engineering reports.\n\nRecord keeping, filing and data entry, research projects.\n\nMiscellaneous projects on an as-needed basis.\n\nWhat skills you'll need:\nWorking towards a degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering\n\nStrong communication skills and the ability to prepare detailed technical reports and specifications.\n\nStrong working knowledge with MS Office, AutoCAD and Solidworks.\n\nAbility to work effectively independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.\n\nAbility to work on multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment.\n\nPreferred Characteristics:\nHands-on electrical or mechanical experience is an asset.\n\nRaising the Standard of Excellence since 1911\nWith over a century of proven excellence, StandardAero has become an industry leader in MRO services and customized solutions in the aerospace field.
