Our stability, resources, and respectful culture supports you in building a solid career with a great team you can count on day in and day out for the long term.\nWhat you’ll do:\nEnsure all financial reporting complies with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and reporting requirements.\nExamining and analyzing accounting and financial records, documents, and systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards, procedures and internal controls.\nCo-ordinate day to day financial operations, monthly reporting requirements and month-end close including reviewing and reporting significant operational/financial variances\nReview and approve journal entries and reconciliations monthly ensuring processes, support and controls are maintained\nComplete monthly forecasts and present to executive team\nLead the coordination and completion of the business annual operating plan\nReview of monthly finance control panels consisting of sales, GM, SG&A and TWC variance analysis\nProvide finance guidance to other functional departments in the business unit\nLead or participate in the audit preparation process by working with internal stakeholders for both internal and external audits.\nResponsible for overseeing the completion and submission of rebates and credits to various vendors\nReview of financial accuracy of contract bids\nLead/Participate in special projects \nActively participate in the maintenance of the control environment ensuring processes and procedures are followed as required.\nAssist in the preparation of ad-hoc reporting and analysis\nPosition Requirements:\nMust be authorized to work in Canada\n5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within corporate manufacturing and public accounting \nHolds or is actively pursuing a recognized professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA, or CPA).
