Gathers reliability data from field studies or database, correlates failure data with maintenance practices or operational use, and periodically reviews and analyzes data using standard engineering techniques / principles / procedures to identify and analyze trends.\n\nDevelops large and small-scale system models to simulate and predict engine reliability and to anticipate failure occurrences using advanced reliability modeling tools.\n\nConstructs cost models associated with various reliability improvement strategies.\n\nServes as liaison with senior management and engineering staff on reliability issues, including identifying failure mode trends and methods to minimize risks associated with them.\n\nServes as the prime contact with assigned customers for the interchange of strategic reliability data.\n\nAs required, provides engineering support to service engineers and other personnel collecting reliability and failure data, and in the determination of failure modes.\n\nParticipates in projects as a team member and/or team project leader.\n\nCoordinates activities with the Manager of Reliability Engineering and other reliability engineers.\n\nManages approved project timelines. Produces periodic project status reports comparing actual to forecasted timeline.\n\nWrites detailed technical reports to document information related to the understanding of relevant failure modes and the results of reliability analyses, prepares proposals & develops work instructions.\n\nPrepares and delivers presentations of analysis results to appropriate staff and customers.\n\nResponsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.\n\nCarries out special duties as assigned.\n\nTechnical Requirements:\n\nBachelor’s Degree in mechanical, aerospace, or reliability engineering, or equivalent.\n\nMore than 10 years of experience supporting: Work scope Optimization, Engine Performance Analysis, Engine Health Monitoring, Testing, Data and Fleet Reliability Analytics, in support of the CFM56 family of engines.\n\nShop Floor Service Engineering is a plus.\n\nSubject Matter Knowledge on the CFM56-7 engine - to include Engine Trending, design, repair and repair work scope processes\n\nStrong problem-solving skills a must.\n\nThorough knowledge of MS Office product suite (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint).\n\nFamiliarity with StandardAero’s Maintenance insight (TM) & Weibuill analysis is an advantage.\n\nProven experience in planning and managing engineering projects related to gas turbine engine reliability and life cycle management.\n\nComputer programming experience - any language (VB, VBA, C, C#, C+, C++, etc.) is a must.\n\nDatabase experience (MS Access, LAMP, SQL, etc.) preferred.\n\nStrong knowledge of statistics and mathematical analysis.\n\nStrong planning, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills strongly preferred.\n\nStrong project management skills.\n\nFamiliarity with airline maintenance practices, systems, and publications helpful.\n\nMust be proficient with Oracle ERP and data systems.
