This role is responsible for developing, validating, and implementing repair solutions and engineering processes that support engine component maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations.\nThe successful candidate will lead engineering initiatives focused on expanding repair capabilities, improving existing processes, reducing repair costs, and ensuring technical solutions meet quality, regulatory, and customer requirements. Working closely with Operations, Quality, and other engineering functions, this role plays a key part in driving technical innovation and continuous improvement.\nSpecific Accountabilities\nLead, mentor, and develop the Repair Development and Process Engineering teams, providing technical guidance, performance management, and professional development.\nEstablish departmental priorities, allocate engineering resources, carry out strategic hiring, and monitor performance against business metrics and objectives.\nOversee the development, evaluation, qualification, and implementation of new repair processes and capabilities for engine components.\nLead repair development, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve repair efficiency, reduce component replacement costs, and develop alternative repair solutions.\nDevelop team subject matter expertise in MRO processes while supporting operational process compliance through technical guidance & training.\nEnsure new and existing repair processes are in compliance with applicable OEM requirements, regulatory standards, and internal quality procedures.\nDirect the development and review of repair instructions, process specifications, technical documentation, engineering procedures and reports.\nCollaborate with Operations, Quality, and other engineering teams to resolve complex repair and manufacturing process challenges.\nSupport capital projects and the implementation of new repair technologies, tooling, equipment, and manufacturing processes.\nSupport equipment troubleshooting activities to minimize operational disruptions. \nLead root cause investigations and the development of corrective and preventive actions for process-related quality or production issues.\nEvaluate process performance and implement improvements to reduce scrap, rework, turnaround times, and operating costs.\nPromote a culture of technical innovation, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.\nSupport Enterprise Special Projects. \nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.\n5+ years of relevant engineering experience in aerospace, aviation MRO, repair development, manufacturing, or process engineering.\nDemonstrated experience leading engineering teams, technical projects, or cross-functional initiatives.\nProfessional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for registration.\nPreferred Qualifications\nStrong understanding of engineering principles related to component repair, manufacturing processes, materials, and technical problem-solving.\nKnowledge of gas turbine engine theory and MRO.\nExperience developing or implementing repair processes for gas turbine engine components.\nKnowledge of specialized repair processes; including machining, welding, coating, heat treatment, NDT or other aerospace component repair technologies.\nKnowledge of aviation regulatory requirements, OEM repair specifications, and quality management systems.\nStrong technical writing, communication, public speaking, prioritization, and organizational skills.\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.\nExperience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. \nExperience with data analysis and data reporting techniques.\nAbility to develop and communicate cost-benefit analyses to support business decisions.\nBenefits that make life better\nComprehensive Healthcare\nCompany Pension with 100% company match;
