With great resources, an inclusive atmosphere, and a culture based on shared values, we'll support you in building a solid career with a team you can count on.\nStandardAero is seeking a motivated, eager, and innovative student to join our Facilities Maintenance Team.\nWe are looking for a total of 1 intern for approx 20-24 hours a week.\nAs a Facilities/Mainteance intern at StandardAero, you will gain hands-on industry experience, learn from experts, and collaborate with our teams that raise the standard of excellence.\nOver the course of your internship, you will have the opportunity to:\nPartner with existing facilities project maintenance teams to support companywide facilities and maintenance in Springfield.\nYou will work with experienced maintenance team on project types that involve environmental cost savings, electrical systems, plumbing, lighting controls, compressed air systems, and building HVAC.\nWhat You’ll Do\nFind opportunities and create/complete maintenance projects.\nEnsure site wide compliance of federal, state, and local environmental policies and procedures.\nAssist in creating and updating internal environmental policies.\nOther projects as assigned.\nBasic Qualifications\nCurrently enrolled in a formal HVAC trade/training program.\nWorking knowledge of PCs and MS Office Suite.\nMinimum of 1 year of building maintenance experience. \nKnowledge of tools, methods, and practice of maintaining equipment, buildings, and facilities.\nKnowledge with hand and power tools. \nExcellent communication skills.\nMust be US Citizen due to government contracts.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints.\nKnowledge of local and national fire, building, plumbing, and electrical codes. \nPreference given to LLCC/Springfield area trade/HVAC program students.\nSalary: Starting salary of $19.21hr\nActual pay will be determined based on the selected candidate's skills, experience, and internal equity considerations.\nThis internship provides a hands-on learning environment in a professional MRO setting, with opportunities to cross-train in airframe, supply, inspections, and engines.
