This role drives supplier performance, cost optimization, risk mitigation, and continuity of supply for critical materials and services, while ensuring compliance with aerospace, regulatory, and company requirements.\nLocation: On site in Winnipeg, MB\nWhat you'll do:\nStrategic Sourcing & Category Management\nDevelop and execute category strategies aligned with StandardAero’s supply chain, operational, and financial objectives.\nLead sourcing initiatives for direct and indirect materials, repair services, and strategic suppliers critical to MRO operations.\nConduct market analysis, supplier benchmarking, and total cost of ownership evaluations.\nSource, evaluate, negotiate, and procure aerospace capital equipment to meet production requirements, including managing contracting, aggregating spend across multiple sites to leverage volume discounts, standardizing vendor agreements, and coordinating centralized purchase terms and delivery schedules.\nSupplier Management & Performance\nEstablish and manage strategic supplier relationships, including OEMs and critical repair vendors.\nLead supplier negotiations, contract development, and commercial terms (pricing, lead times, escalation clauses, risk protections).\nMonitor and improve supplier performance across quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness metrics.\nPartner with Quality and Engineering on supplier qualification, audits, and corrective action plans.\nOperational & Cross-Functional Partnership\nCollaborate with Operations, Planning, and Program Management to ensure continuity of supply and alignment to production schedules.\nSupport new program introductions, capacity expansions, and major repair or overhaul initiatives.\nAddress supply disruptions proactively and lead mitigation strategies for material shortages and long lead-time items.\nCost Management & Continuous Improvement\nDeliver measurable cost savings and productivity improvements through sourcing strategies, negotiations, and process improvements.\nSupport working capital optimization through inventory strategies and supplier terms.\nChampion lean principles and continuous improvement across procurement processes.\nLeadership & Governance\nProvide leadership, coaching, and development for procurement team members, as applicable.\nEnsure compliance with company policies, export controls, regulatory requirements, and ethical sourcing standards.\nContribute to enterprise-level procurement initiatives and governance forums.\nPosition Requirements:\nMust be authorized to work in CAN\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required \n10+ years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain management within aerospace, aviation MRO, manufacturing, or a similarly regulated industry.\nStrong knowledge of aerospace supply chains, OEM relationships, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FAA, EASA, AS standards).\nExperience supporting global operations and multi-site environments.\nExperience sourcing complex capital equipment for aerospace applications.\nDemonstrated success leading strategic sourcing initiatives and complex supplier negotiations.\nPreferred Characteristics:\nBachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or a related field.
