As technical authority within our global Centre of Excellence, you will define global equipment standards, lead CAPEX vendor evaluations, packaging materials benchmarking and optimize End-of-Line packaging, wrapping, and palletizing operations across our worldwide manufacturing plants.\nYour key responsibilities:\nTechnical Governance & Global Standards: Define and maintain global equipment specifications for collators, strapping and pallet wrapping systems, high-level layer palletizers, articulated robotic palletizers, and stretch/shrink hooding machinery and packaging materials.\n CAPEX Projects & OEM Management: Lead technical vendor evaluations, machinery and material selection, oversee Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for newly commissioned packaging lines worldwide.\nMaterials sustainability: Conduct Packaging materials benchmark, and analyse for fit, form, function, cost and compatibility with transport and environmental legislation. \n Operational Excellence & OEE Optimization: Undertake data-driven root cause analyses to resolve line bottlenecks, maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and minimize material wastage (paper sacks, films) while ensuring high load stability.\nAudits & Technical Coaching: Perform technical site audits across global manufacturing plants, enforce gap-closure action plans, and coach local plant engineers and operators.\nYour Profile:\nEducation: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Process Engineering, or Automation.\nProfessional Experience: Minimum 6+ years of direct engineering experience in industrial End-of-Line packaging, bagging, or material handling systems.\n Technical Expertise: Proven hands-on proficiency in at least two specialized domains:Packaging materials, performance and environmental footprint\nBagging & Sealing Systems\nPalletizing Automation (high-level layer palletizers, robotic pick-and-place)\nLoad Securing & Film Packaging (stretch wrappers, shrink wrappers, strap banding)\n\nWork Permit & Residence: Valid work permit and current residency within the European Union or United Kingdom.\n Mobility & Languages: Willingness to travel internationally (25-40%); full professional fluency in English (C1/C2).\n Desirable / Plus:Experience within building materials, dry mortar, minerals, cement, or bulk chemical industries.\nConversational to fluent German language skills (B2+).\nLean Six Sigma certification (Green/Black Belt).\n\nWhat we offer: - based on hiring location it would include a range of the following:\nFuture-Proof Compensation: Attractive salary package & company pension scheme\nWork-Life-Balance: 30 days of vacation, flexible working hours & primarily office-based work with a regular mobile office option\n Diverse Mobility Solutions: Job bike (JobRad), commuting allowance & free parking\nSupport for Families: Childcare cost subsidy & pme Family Service\nFocus on Further Development: Individual development and training opportunities\n Health Matters: Health benefits & BMI supplementary health insurance fund(Zuschusskasse)\nFind your new professional home with us and apply now through our online application system.
