This role uses a variety of inspection tools and techniques to identify defects and document results, supporting continuous quality improvement in the manufacturing process.\n\nSchedule: 2nd Shift 3:30PM-12:00AM with shift differential. Training on 1st shift \nTechnical Job \nReview job routing, quality log requirements, and interpret sketches to determine dimensions and tolerance specifications for features requiring inspection\nPerform independent inspections, validations, and/or verifications of assigned items to ensure compliance and documentation of nonconforming material\nInspect product for surface defects, such as scratches, dents, cracks, workmanship, and weld quality\nPerform inspections of simple GD& T hardware using a variety of common inspection tools which may include various micrometers, bore gages, depth gauges, dial indicators, drop indicators, height gauges, etc.\nUse basic GD&T concepts such as Straightness, Flatness, Circularity, Cylindricity, Perpendicularity, and Parallelism as needed\nUse a variety of common inspection tools (OD&ID micrometers, calipers, pi tapes, thread gages, point mics, profilometers) to verify sketch/print dimensions of components \nRead and interpret work orders, blueprints, and specifications to determine machine setup, type of material or part, quantity, and finish dimensions\nPerform standard operations for established programs on the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), FARO Arm, and scanning equipment \nReceive inspection of product, hardware, or raw material to ensure PO requirements are met\nLoad and unload parts into inspection gauges to verify and document conformance\nMay be asked to perform higher level inspections while under supervision\nMay trim, sand, and drill parts, using shop equipment\nPerform daily/weekly operator maintenance on equipment/tools (oil, clean, and inspection)\nAccurately execute PCS (Process Control Sheets) and provide feedback when revisions are needed\nAssist Engineering with the implementation, creation, and maintenance of PCS \nDocument actions by completing production and quality logs as needed\nAccomplish organization goals by actively exploring opportunities to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. (SQDC) \nTrain others by openly sharing information, knowledge, and expertise with the team\nComplete job assignments as directed by Quality or Manufacturing Manager \nAttend meetings, trainings, and participate in audits as directed\nSafety\nMaintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations\nComply with all company rules including company safety policy and all federal, state, local, and other safety regulations and practices\nUse personal protective equipment and devices provided for machinery, equipment, tools and processes, when defined in PCS, Company Safety Policy, Job Safety Analysis or Management direction\nReport all unsafe conditions, accidents and injuries immediately to management\nHousekeeping\nActively participate in 6S and lean activities as outlined by the Company \nMaintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following Company instructions\nMaintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs\nStore and maintain tools, equipment and gauges as defined by company standards \nKeep work area clean and organized to company standards/expectations\nDaily cleaning and sweeping of work area, tools and equipment\nEmpty trash and waste as needed \nPersonal items removed from workstations\nWhat You'll Bring\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required\nMinimum 3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. \nForklift experience is preferred \nCertified Level I and Level II nondestructive testing preferred\nDemonstrate working knowledge with reading and understanding blueprint requirements, and ability to interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)\nReliable transportation \nStrong interpersonal and problem-solving skills\nAbility to effectively manage time, multi-task, and pay close attention to details\nSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team\nCapable of following directions\nTake responsibility for achieving production efficiency, quality of product and reports discrepant
