We drive growth through new product development, deeper engagement with customers’ engineering, geographic expansion, and targeted acquisitions. \n\nOur global manufacturing footprint spans the United States, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, China, and India. \n\nWe are looking for a CAD Technician who is a technical professional responsible for the generation and creations of complex technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards. This individual will coordinate with engineering and the CM Manager to resolve design conflicts and incorporate revisions.\n\nWhat You'll Do \nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nCreate general 2D mechanical and tooling drawings for use in Sample Documentation, production prints, courtesy prints and related paperwork.\nPrepare and reviews sample documentation for accuracy as necessary.\nAssist with the creation and review of tooling drawings.\nRelease new and updated prints.\nProcess ECNs/ECOs to ensure documentation is released, controlled, and remains accurate. \nAccurately update prints as Change Notifications are processed.\nWork in conjunction with Engineering to prepare and process Catalog Change Notifications.\nEnter information from the job pack into document control software.\nScan information into the ERP system as required.\nCreate and maintains document control procedures as required.\nReview the order history report (OHR or equivalent) for orders missing released prints.\nPrepare the release of a new engineering part for all missing items.\nAssign the part with information received from sales.\nTrack progress of all open engineering parts to their completion.\nPrepare engineering parts within the ERP system.\nAttach the appropriate approval routing.\nAttach the document requirements, ensuring proper documentation is attached.\nMaintain Prints and customer files. Updates as required.\nTrack Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) within the ERP.\nAttach the appropriate approval routing.\nAttach the document requirements, ensuring proper documentation is attached.\nUpdate the print within the ERP, archiving the old revision.\nTrack and processes Catalog Change and Administrative Change Notifications.\nMaintain Approval routings in the ERP.\nWork closely with all functions to ensure information is relayed and documented for a smooth release of new products to production. \nOther duties as assigned.\n\nWhat You'll Bring \nDegree or equivalent experience.\nExtensive knowledge of the AutoCAD program and other design and modeling tools is desired.\nA basic understanding of general electrical terms.\nAbility to interpret documents, such as engineering prints, to determine accuracy, and to analyze possible changes needed.\nAbility to speak fluently with Management and fellow employees\nAbility to prepare drawings and lists for engineering\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out daily tasks and instructions when furnished in written, oral, and diagram form.\n\nWhat We Value \nKnowledge of coil, transformer, and inductor design. \nKnowledge of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability. \nUnderstanding of 2D/3D Modeling Software, Finite Element Analysis, and Simulation Software. \nAbility to read, create and critique detailed technical wiring diagrams, schematics, and bill of materials. \nUnderstanding of statistical methods and tools. \nAbility to balance and prioritize multiple work
