Duties include hands on development, troubleshooting, CNC programming, process definition, standard work, tool design & improvement, and process control documentation\nAct as the technical liaison between Engineering and Manufacturing\nResponsible for programming (machining/forming/robot) depending on focus/assignment\nAssist with design and approval of tool designs for critical processing\nCapture the process information (ex. tooling/fixturing concepts, rollers, inserts, tool holders, speeds, feeds, etc.) necessary for detailed process definition and control\nProvide estimating support and input through running process simulations, developing layouts, and tool concepts for costing/quoting\nAnalyze and improve existing machining operations to reduce cycle time, improve tool life, and enhance part quality\nLead root cause analysis and corrective actions for machining-related issues\nCollaborate with Quality, Materials, and Manufacturing teams to implement new materials, equipment, and technologies\nSupport the introduction of new products and equipment, including CNC programming and process validation\nPerform observation/time studies for developing standards and improving processes for feedback to the Project Engineer\nReview QA supplied control plans and inspection logs as required\nCreate visual instructions with process definition and control for safe manufacturing processes such as Process Control documents (PCs), Work Instructions (WI), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)\nAnalyze technology and resource needs to plan and assess the feasibility of processes and associated equipment\nAssist maintenance with troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of machines when necessary \nAssist with schedules and project status updates using MS Project for new orders \nAssist in evaluating and/or dispositioning nonconformance reports and provide/implement correction action\nAssist with developing PFMEAs where and/or when necessary to mitigate process risk\nOrganize and evaluate process and cost data (ex. planned vs. actual) to support decision-making activities\nManage drawings, data sets, models, part lists, and specifications in accordance with internal controls\nEvaluate, research, and provide feedback on new technologies \nParticipating in internal or external presentations related to Engineering topics \nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all safety and quality procedures\nOccasionally visit clients, vendors, and suppliers \nAttending meetings and trainings as assigned\nComplete projects as assigned\nTeam Responsibilities\nHave a daily presence on the manufacturing floor to work collaboratively with shop team \nSupport other divisional business units as directed by manager\nWhat You'll Bring\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering preferred but not required\n3-5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or machining environment\nStrong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies\nProficient in CNC machining, GD&T, cutting tool technology, and metalworking principles \nProficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and project management tools (e.g., MS Project)\nProficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and willingness to learn other software\nReliable transportation \nStrong interpersonal and problem-solving skills\nHigh level of confidentiality and professionalism when interacting with clients & vendors\nExceptional written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to build and maintain strong working relationships\nAbility to effectively manage time, multi-task, and pay close attention to details\nSelf-motivated
