Position Summary:

The Material Clerk I position shall be capable of operating a lift truck to transport materials, machined parts, products, etc. on

company premises.

Essential Functions:

· Continuously perform all required tasks in a safe manner, adhering to all established safety rules and procedures. Must

take immediate action to correct and/or report any unsafe conditions and hazards.

· Take an active role in caring for the equipment to prevent breakdowns and defects and help increase overall equipment

efficiency through 5S, TPM (total productive maintenance), and other Lean Manufacturing initiatives directed by the

Sedalia site.

· He/she shall have the ability to pick up and deliver loads, tier up materials in stacks and other related duties as required

while meeting satisfactory job requirements.

· He/she shall be responsible and expected to observe all safety regulations pertaining to the operation of the vehicle

and be constantly on the alert to avoid injuries and have his/her truck under control at all times.

· The operator shall be capable of coordinating material deliveries to and from storage areas to use points so as to

maximize the time spend moving loads. He shall be capable of taking all necessary inventories as directed.

· Additional responsibilities include good housekeeping and other assignments as directed by the Supervisor.

· The employee shall be able to work overtime as requested and posted by management.

· Basic knowledge/ability to learn either WMS or SAP operating system.

Basic computer knowledge

Stanley Black & Decker Certified PIV Operator

Good manual dexterity

Ability to accurately pick and count part numbers

Novice skills in quality control principles

Good communication skills (verbal and written)

Experience and ability in using hand tools
