Join our team of 50,000+ diverse, high-performing professionals making their mark on the world’s most beloved brands, including DEWALT®, BLACK+DECKER®, CRAFTSMAN®, STANLEY®, CUB CADET®, and HUSTLER®.\nThe Job\nAs a Project Engineer, Model Based Design - Electric Motors, you will be a key member of our internal Model Based Controls design team, responsible for:\nCreating robust, well documented electric motor models using model-based engineering tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, Twin Builder).\nDeveloping and implementing calibration processes for electromagnetic and thermal models of electric motors.\nSimulating and testing (verifying) these motor models to find issues in early design processes.\nModify electro-magnetic design of the motor based on early learning to correct the issues before physical prototyping.\nEstablishing and keeping workflows and best practices for electrical system modeling within the team.\nGenerate robust motor and electrical part library that can be used by System level modelling teams.\nMentoring and training engineers in model-based design and controls engineering.\nCollaborating with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and research institutions to drive technological advancements.\nDocumenting control strategies, simulation results, and validation processes specific to Electrical System.\nSupporting certification and regulatory compliance for global deployment.\nThe Person\nYou are eager to learn, grow, and be recognized for your contributions.
