You’ll get to:\nProvides and maintains measures of the Plant's quality performance in terms of quality costs, customer returns and complaints, product conformance, and manufacturing and supplier performance. Establishes quality performance goals. Reports and takes action when goals are exceeded.\nDefines the system, policy, and procedures for the control of quality in and for the Plant and regularly determines adherence to these by all functions. Makes changes as required to improve effectiveness.\nConducts audits of the Plant Quality Assurance system, including adequacy of records, effectiveness of procedures and performance of personnel.\nProvides for the development of product quality and reliability, and the definition of product quality characteristics, control points, inspection for conformance, means of determination, records and feedback for purchased and manufactured materials, parts and products.\nProvides for the evaluation and control of product and process quality through: inspection for conformance to requirements of purchased material and parts, work-in-process, finished goods, packaging and labeling; controls disposition and costs on nonconforming material; identifying corrective action needs; assurance of gages, measuring and test equipment accuracy.\nRecommends department organization, expense and capital, long-range plans and budget needs, and operates the department within approved budget\nSupport ISO 9001 certification programParticipate with internal ISO audits to monitor compliance.\nAssist with recertification during Registrar visits.\nDevelop and maintain work instructions per ISO requirements.\n\nAssist with Supplier Performance ReviewsDocument floor complaints.\nIssue NCMRs and CARs as needed.\nFollow up with correctives actions to insure compliance.\nAudit key vendors as necessary.\n\nParticipate In New Product DevelopmentAttend PLMT meetings.\nResearch new processes as directed.\nCollaborate with Value Stream Engineers on Standard Work Development, Improvements and Training\nDevelop Cpk and process control plans for new products. May require FMEA and PPAP documents.\n\nCompliance to all Plant Environmental, Health and Safety policies and Environmental and OSHA regulatory requirements\nFacilitates kaizen events and other lean initiatives such as 5’s, one-piece flow, standardized work, Kanban\nPerforms workplace audits and streaming processes within area of responsibility.\nUtilizes knowledge of value stream analysis; project management; data collection and analysis; and development and implementation of process improvements to drive change.\nCreates work instructions, reports, and presentations using accurate data to drive continuous improvement.\n\nThe Person: \nYou love to learn and grow and be acknowledged for your valuable contributions.
