Grow with us, H2O+U.\nProject Engineer – Civil/Water EngineeringAn exciting opportunity exists within Stantec’s Water practice for an experienced Project Manager/Engineer to join our team in Memphis, Tennessee.\nThis opportunity is well suited for someone looking for the next step in their career and the opportunity to take greater ownership of projects, as well as an experienced professional who wants to continue contributing their expertise while focusing on smaller, manageable projects and a more flexible work environment.\nRather than focusing exclusively on large, complex programs, this position provides the opportunity to lead and support small to mid-sized municipal water and wastewater projects, build meaningful client relationships, and work alongside Stantec’s established regional network of Water professionals.\nYou’ll have the opportunity to manage projects from beginning to end, including scope, schedules, budgets, technical delivery, and client communication, while having access to additional technical and project resources when needed.\nYour Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Project Manager/Engineer, you will help deliver successful municipal water and wastewater projects throughout Memphis and the surrounding region. Depending on your experience and career interests, responsibilities may include:\n\nManage and take ownership of small to mid-sized water and wastewater projects, from initial scope through final delivery.\n\nDevelop project scopes, schedules, budgets, task orders, and deliverables.\n\nServe as a trusted point of contact for clients and develop long-term relationships by understanding their infrastructure needs.\n\nCoordinate engineers, designers, technical specialists, and other disciplines to deliver practical, high-quality solutions.\n\nProvide technical leadership in areas such as water treatment, wastewater treatment, water distribution, collection systems, pump stations, and related municipal infrastructure.\n\nPrepare or review design calculations, technical reports, construction drawings, specifications, and other project deliverables.\n\nManage project budgets, staffing needs, schedules, invoicing, and overall project performance.\n\nWork collaboratively with Stantec’s broader Water team, providing access to specialized expertise and resources when projects require additional support.\n\nParticipate in proposals, interviews, and client-development activities at a level appropriate to your role, experience, and interests.\n\nMentor and support developing engineers while sharing your technical and project-management experience.\n\nFor
